A lot of people suddenly show up for Christmas Eve church services who hardly ever go at other times. Why go then and not other times? Or why not go all the time or never?

and still keep the "worldly" Christmas fun - (santa, reindeers, frosty, etc)

I don't have children - but my husband and I have been struggling with this issue. He doesn't want our children to ever believe in Santa ... I am ok with that ... but I don't know how, this day in age, you can't teach your kids about santa... ?

My mom is 44 and I am 24. I am tired of giving her the same old boring gift. She is a new grandmother also, and being a new mom myself, I want to get her something that can show her the appreciation I have come to have for all her efforts as a mom. My youth group is having a christmas party and we're all supposed to come dressed up as something or someone from out favorite christmas song or carol. like we could wear a diaper and a question mark for "what child is this" or dress up like a house for " i'll be home for Christmas". it's a contest. i need an idea of something i could do that wouldn't take alot of stuff to put together. just everyday stuff i could find around the house. the two idea's above are already taken. thanks ahead of time for your help.

What does this country stand for any more? We are not even free to celebrate hollidays. Will someone try to sue me for putting a tree in my yard because I don't also put a symbol for every other culture. These types of issues is what causes racial tensions. I think it was very irresponsible of the Rabbi that did this.
