I'm not much of a believer anymore. I think the Christian story is a beautiful, inspiring myth. I love the hymns of the Christmas service, I love the atmosphere of the service, but I can't stomach Christian dogma being fed to me Sunday after Sunday. One or two days a year I can take.

Will go, play bass for the music team and we are doing music, most people will show up for a Christmas Eve service out of tradition or guilt or other reason. For some, it makes them feel good about themselves or less stress at the time etc..

The only times I go to church are when I'm visiting my family. I do it out of respect for them. However, I'm not Christian, so I don't typically go to church, not even for Christmas, which I do celebrate, by the way/

If more people would show up on Sundays like they do during Christmas eve/day, I believe we would hear the angels in heaven singing! It is ashame that certain Christians think that coming only during holiday events makes up for not showing up on Sundays. hmmmm, maybe they think it's some kind of "get out of Hell" card???

Some people go just for the feeling of being near others during the holiday season.
Or it could have been a family tradition and they just don't feel like going any other time.

Hahahaha... C&E Christians are the true believers. They believe just enough to cough up money at the appropriate times of the year.

At our church we welcome visitors and hope they enjoy the special music chosen for the celebration. I hope any of you feel welcome in any Christian church on that day.
The Innkeeper, after all made a homeless Mary and Joseph welcome. How can we not do the same.
