My daughter was born a couple days before Christmas. Wife and daughter came homefrom the hospital on Christmas morning and I had the house all decorated, all the presents ready, and the neighbors helped me make sure we had a warm brunch on the table when we walked through the door.

It was 2 years ago when my son was 2 and could somewhat understand what Christmas was all about. I loved watching him stare at all of the lights and hearing him say "Oh Mommy look how pretty."

That is when he also learned that if you shake a gift it just might make a noise which would only peak his curiosity. Needless to say I had to re-wrap several gifts because of his curiosity. It was all worth it though. I just wanted him to be happy.

the first Christmas my lady and I were going together She gave me a pair of Black and White Scotties which had magnets. which one could put them together with. She had a note saying these puppies were like us -- no good without the other. after 30 years of marriage the black puppy went into the grave with her and I still have mine. although there are other sets this one might work on the set we had will never work again.
