Just to let you know I live in Australia. Okay the nieces and nephews get $25 gift cards so they can buy what they like. On my three daughters I probably spend $150 each. On my man around $40 and his kids about $60 collectively. So that adds up to approximately $650

I have two children. I spent a total of 620.00 on both of them. I spend 50.00 each on parents, and grandparents. My sisters have agreed that because we have our own children, to only buy presents for our nieces and nephews under $10.00. Of course, I have 5 sisters with a total of 10 nieces and nephews. Luckily, I am at a point where I can do this. In the past, I have made presents because of money situations. My husband and I buy for ourselves after Christmas to make sure everyone else always gets something.

I don't think the price or value of Christmas is what is important. We are foster parents we have 3 kids of our own and 3 foster kids. It is a shame that I only get a $75.00 allowance for the foster kids for Christmas. SO far I have spent over $200.00 per child before I bought stocking stuffers. I usually ask the kids mine included what they would like for Christmas and try to get everything on their list. Most years our son gets the least when it comes to value because he asks for things that are not expensive. Our daughter on the other hand could break the bank. I think what matters the most is getting them what they want after all it is about giving and not about receiving.

I am 32 and have no sibs.--$50 on Mom
--$50 on Dad
--$ 70 on my boyfriend
--$ 25 on my Best friend Kelly
So I guess it comes out to right under $200 this year. I have no kids (yet) and the rest of the adults in my extended family decided not to exchange gifts anymore. We just get together and hang out together, and eat Prime Rib for dinner. That's good enough for us. Merry Christmas!

I set a limit at $2000 and that's it! That isn't alot for 3 kids especially since the big ticket items like electronics usually runs between $150- $400. However, it is enough to make sure that each kid gets exactly what he wanted for Christmas. The rest is all "icing". The item that they want the most is usually at the top of their list. Trips and such are given to them for their birthdays.

0$ I focus instead on showing my love for friends and family throughout the year not on just 1 day that is deemed politically correct to give gifts.
