Firstly I'm not sure if I have ever written the word thirtieth before. Secondly what can i do for it? I was going to book a party double decker that will drive us round the city and take us to bars - but then I got this feeling that while trying to be different I was just being tacky! Lol. I have about 10 close friends who I always celebrate birthdays with. I could have a party and invite family etc but its too much hassle. Thanks!

I hired some movers. And it's costing me $65/hr(Total move time= 5 hours)for a 2 man team. Am I suppose to add a 15% tip on top of that???? Or would something like $10/person be enough? How about if I just gave them a case of beer?

I work in a small clothing store that was sold one year ago to a different owner. (I have been here for four years with the old owner too) People who shop here want to know every single detail of who bought it and why and just EVERYTHING! I don't think it's any of their business and no matter how nice I stay they argue with me if I won't tell them what they want to know ! I think this is so rude! But am I crazy? Do you think this is rude?

I am the manager of a nice women's clothing store in one of the most affluent areas of the country. For some reason mothers here don't do anything when their children go crazy in my store. I have had children running around, throwing things, knocking over displays and having tantrums and their mothers are totally not phased by such beahvior. I have also seen this happen at other places, not in my area. Why do parents let their kids act like this in public? I find it totally inappropriate and I know my mother would never have let me act like that when I was young. What is going on with people?

I have been told that it is rude to go to work even when one is a little sick because of the risk of infecting others. However, (which is typically voiced by bosses) I have been told that one should only miss work if you are vomiting, deathly sick, need to go to the doctor.

We are a military family so we have very few family members close by, and we are already inviting 7 kids we know and do playgroup togeather with, but is it polite to invite the girl's from her dance class. Even though we do not know all the parents? Her birthday is a no present birthday party, but we are renting out a gymnastic fun place, and have room for 15 kids with no additional charge? Just wondering if this would be consider odd or impolite

out my words and last wishes to the deceased in a funeral home, is it socially irresponsible to flatulate in the coffin, directly in his face?
He is dead, 4fuxake's, so should I be listening to annoying grunts from other well-wishers waiting in line to pay their respects to said deceased?

Dear Susan

Thank you for your previous letter, your description of Dunlochry is fantastic

My home is very different to yours. Even when I’m at home I feel and, unfortunately, hear the boiling life ocean. However, I appreciate it.Though, the city face is constantly changing, it doesn’t become unrecognizable. Every epoch adds some features like pilasters of the Peter’s baroque, the greatest contribution of USSR –the tube, nowadays- ugly high-scrapers and strange alien objects like parcels in neon colors(I have one in neighbourhood, it ruined all harmony of early constructivism on my street ).However, it is just the make-up the city applies in the epoch not to seem too old-fashioned. Through bright ads, McDonalds, supermarkets, posters and the other time tinsel you can see the original StPetersburg which was set up by Peter the Great on the Neva river in 1703

I didn’t want to spit further than the guidebook which calls the city “Living Museum”, I think it is just living
Cheers

Oh by the way the answer given was in no way derogatory.

Just curious, cause at work, someone is always standing around waiting for some guy to get out of the john. But really I have noticed it all my life even when a guy is not trying to avoid work.

i don't know if this happens to lots of people but i definitely seem to find it difficult to say what i want to say without getting misunderstood or not understood at all.i don't have an issue with language or vocabulary. it is just about timing and getting the right words. Because of this problem, i sometimes end up looking like a fool and it gets very embarassing.i do ok while writing stuff but while speaking, i can't wait to run away from people because it is so stressful to talk.
does this happen to others too, or am i a special case with a crazy problem? any tips on how i can handle this problem without going to expensive communication skill classes.

Why are some women such super slobs when it comes to public rest rooms? I hope they don't keep their own bathrooms like they use public ones. Maybe that's it. They have to clean their own so they feel let someone else clean up after me a bit. I've seen public bathrooms with toilet paper on the floor, blood on the floor or seat, pee on the seat or they don't bother flushing. They cannot wipe the seat off if they pee on it? It's like they go out of their way to be disgusting. Men's rooms on the other hand are much, much cleaner. This from a friend who cleans offices, etc. for a living.

At my current job, I take the train to work every day. I've seen my share of crazy people (like men shouting about armageddon raining down upon us).

But there is one black woman who talks to herself and constantly uses the N-word loud enough for everyone to hear. I hadn't seen her in a while until yesterday and I accidentally sat near her. She got ticked off and called me a Japanese (N-word)!! Then she got up and moved away from me.

I considered going up to the conductor and telling him but I didn't think he would do anything.

What do you all think about matters like this? I've always just tried to ignore it.

A neighbor in our community plays music with alot of bass at a very loud volume while sitting in their car. It is a regular daily occurence (multiple times throughout day/night) but usually stops in less than 15 minutes (per time). Last night it was around 1am. They also have not mowed their lawn in about 6 months. What is the most respectful way to approach these situations. I really could care less about the lawn (other neighbors may think differently), but the music is disrupting my sleep. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

i work at a bike shop where my boss (the owner) smokes (dont ask how those two go together). when he starts coughing, how should i react? this is my first real job so what ever i say or do is going to make an impression on him, and i dont want to be recognized as someone who is careless. i dont dont what i should do cuz i dont know anyone else who smokes.

when i mean coughing, i mean he is hacking away for such a long time that you might think that something is wrong.

Looking for feedback here. One of my pet peeves is going to a fast food restaurant where they supply a newspaper or two for their customers, only to find that one or two people have taken the enitre paper and keep it for the entire time they're there, sometimes not even reading it. Newspapers come in sections for a reason! Why do people think that they have a right to monopolize the whole paper?

I'm not about to confront them about it, since it's always possible that they brought their own paper with them. When I've occasionally asked if that was their paper or the restaurant's, and if it's not theirs, could I please have a section, I'm met with either blank stares or hostile reactions. I've just given up and bought my own paper before I go in. And if anybody asks me if it's my paper, I tell them it's mine, but they can gladly have any section I'm finished with.

Does this bug anyone else? And what do you do about it?

A group of my friends is having a vday party on saturday. I don't really know the host very well, so therefore I wasn't invited. No big I thought, I just wouldn't go. Some of my friends that were invited wanted me to go, so they got one of the host to call and ask me to go. Even though he called, I know he was forced to so therefore I still don't want to go. What is the proper etiquette here?

I was walking to work when 2 work colleagues got off a bus about 10m behind me. I work with 1 of the guys but didn't know the other person and they were talking to each other. Now they saw that I saw them getting off the bus. Should I have waited for them and walked with them to work?
I just kept walking but now I wonder if that was rude?

Honestly people... if it's too much effort to flick your finger to alert other drivers that you plan to change lanes or turn, then your license should just be revoked. What are some creative things you have done when some idiot just zips in front of you without any warning, or slams on their brakes before making their turn without letting you know?
