I was walking to work when 2 work colleagues got off a bus about 10m behind me. I work with 1 of the guys but didn't know the other person and they were talking to each other. Now they saw that I saw them getting off the bus. Should I have waited for them and walked with them to work?
I just kept walking but now I wonder if that was rude?

Not rude at all. Maybe next time you could turn and smile, but it was far better to not interrupt!

No, you weren't being rude. Even if you knew both of them well - that doesn't mean you HAVE to walk with them. You can do whatever you want, for all they know you could have needed to get to work asap. Or maybe you just couldn't be bothered waiting for them - it doesn't really matter either way. Personally I feel that people live too much in each others pockets and depend too much on other people. Like having 'me time' or being alone is a bad thing...pfft! If someone got cut after I failed to walk somewhere with them - I think I would have to tell them to get a life (or work on their insecurity issues). Don't stress over it hey. You weren't in the wrong and if they have a problem with it...they can get over it.

If you were 10 minutes ahead of them, then it wasn't rude that you continued walking. The guys had each other and you had no one. If the friend had gotten off the bus alone, then it would have been polite to wait for him and walk onto work. However, you didn't do anything to insult anyone. Thank you and GOD bless.

He saw you too. If he had wanted your company he could have called out to you. The fact that he didn't meant that he either didn't want your company or he and his friend were probably having a private conversation. You were not rude, interrupting their conversation would have been rude. If this happens again you can always acknowledge him with a wave of your hand.

Baby...We all were raised with some sort of manners, morals, and self-respect. Now, I think that BEING RUDE is consciously being anal! But, from you having to question whether you were rude or not is to much mental work along with the other billions of things going on with your 24 HOUR day. My point is ,acknowledge people you know, whether it's with a hi,physical gesture, or a simple wink....does that help any?

Next time I think a smile or wave of acknowledgement would be a suitable act of curteousy - but do as you did and carry on to leave the gentleman and his friend to themselves unless they signal otherwise.
Hindsight is a great thing though - and I am sure that the gentleman in question does not consider you rude. It would be a common assumption that you merely did not want to intrude on their conversation.

No. If one of them had gestured or called to you to join them, then maybe.

It *may* have been rude if you would have waited - they may have been having an A-B conversation. This is also your "excuse" if the guy who knows you for some reason wanted you to wait - "I would have loved to join you but it looked like you were talking with your friend. Call out next time!"

Depends if it was hot or cold or other weather that made it uncomfortable out I wouldn't say it was rude But then on the other hand the others might think you were being a little stuck up.

On the contrary. They were being rude to not notice such a lovely beautiful and extraordinary young lady as yourself. They might possibly be the most ignorant men alive.

Have a good weekend and don't sweat their obvious bad form.

No.

Had you spoken to them they may not have liked it. They may have been discussing their special personal relationship.

They saw you so why didn't they catch you up & ask if you minded them walking with you.

You could say that they were rude but I think they just wanted to be together themselves & no doubt they looked a pleasant couple.
