Honestly people... if it's too much effort to flick your finger to alert other drivers that you plan to change lanes or turn, then your license should just be revoked. What are some creative things you have done when some idiot just zips in front of you without any warning, or slams on their brakes before making their turn without letting you know?

No kidding! No one uses their mirrors anymore either. People just go. I actually don't think they can use their turn signals because they are too busy talking on the phone and sipping their coffee. They just don't have enough hands!

I don't do anything to other drivers because that causes road rage and I just assume be pissed, yet alive.

I quit believing that everyone who has a license is competent to drive when I had a co-worker tell me, in all seriousness, that she never turns around to look where she's going when she backs up, she just uses her rearview mirror, because "it's only on TV and in the movies that people actually turn around to look." Scary, huh?

I think a lot of craziness that we see in people changing lanes without looking, or signaling, comes from either an incredible sense of entitlement ("I want to turn here, too bad so sad if anyone has to get out of my way!") or an equally incredible faith in the ability of other people to avoid them.

I don't know what the answer is-- maybe raising the cost of driver's licenses and having all people have to take an extended driving test every year or so, or pulling the driver's licenses on people who have more than a particular number of at-fault fender benders or tickets every year.

You're right, it is beyond aggravating that some people never bother to use their turn signals.

Paul is right. If you've never done it it's a chore to do.Get a service manual or go to a library and copy the pages from a motor manual covering the job. You'll need a steering wheel puller and a steering lock plate removal tool.DO NOT try to remove the steering lock plate without having the tool made for the job. It's a job you can do yourself but pay close attention to how it goes back together. One little tip. While you have it apart make sure the 4 bolts that bolt the tilt mechanism to the column are tight. They are notorious for coming loose on GM cars making your steering wheel flop around. This is a job you'll only want to do once.Prepare to say some bad words during the job.I know i said plenty the first time i took one apart. They are a pain in the butt.

I feel the same way way whatever happened to the simple movement of your finger to the turn signal i dont think it that hard to flick many people out there seem to think so since no one uses them at all anymore they just cut you off and turn like they did nothing wrong at all but nearly get you into an accident I dont know any creative ideas besides yelling at them from your car even thought they cant hear you

I completely agree with you. But I like to give the benefit of the doubt too, because I have a loose connection somewhere in my electrical system and sometimes my right front blinker doesn't work. But only sometimes, so I can't predict when it's suddenly going to decide to not work. So when I see others' turn signals not working, I wonder if maybe the one that I can't see (the front or the back) is on.

I hate it when people don't use turn signals! No offense truly, but most Pennsylvania drivers I see in NJ never use their signals. It's the law, people! I tore a tendon in my hand and could only drive with my right hand, and I still managed to use my blinker.

Yeesh. You'd think people would learn by now. Maybe when I'm a police officer I'll get some of those non blinker users.

Thank you, I agree, you are behind a driver who starts breaking and all of a sudden turns w/ no warning. That really irritates me, i mean turn signals are there for a reason-use them. But clearly some people still haven't grasp that concept yet. When they act foolish it makes you act foolish because you have to brake quickly to avoid hitting them and then a everyone behind has to do the same, thank goodness the horn was invented.

Yes, because it takes time away from talking on my phone! Changing my Cd's: then deciding that I would rather listen to my MP3 and applying my makeup. Oh and the kids need the DVD changed as well.

LOL! Joking of course.

People are just stupid. There really should be a place on the drivers license for a stupidity stamp!

I thought those came on automatically! Obviously, I don't drive LOL.
People don't use it to alert us pedestrians that they are turning. Here I am standing in 9 degree weather and waiting for you to complete your signal-less turn and somewhere along the way, you change your mind and just come barreling straight on!

There's nothing you can do really, cept for maybe feeling sorry for them cause their fingers are most probably too short to flick the signal stick and since most bodies are made proportional...they are most probably "short" some place else in their anatomy as well. So really...just fell sorry for them, momentarily that is.
