Firstly I'm not sure if I have ever written the word thirtieth before. Secondly what can i do for it? I was going to book a party double decker that will drive us round the city and take us to bars - but then I got this feeling that while trying to be different I was just being tacky! Lol. I have about 10 close friends who I always celebrate birthdays with. I could have a party and invite family etc but its too much hassle. Thanks!

Tacky schmacky, I think that's cool! Ya gotta do something big and silly for your thirtieth. While I'm not renting a double decker, I've decided to go to England and drink beer (not tacky, but perhaps I can ride on a double decker bus...).

A good goal (in my opinion) is to do something life affirming! Do something that will stretch your boundaries & scare you a little. I'm going to eat beef in the UK (heh, just kidding!), or maybe ride the subway in London! Well, in fact, I don't normally travel alone, and that's what I'm doing. Make sure whatever you do, it makes you grin just thinking about it! Good luck!

It depends on what your friends are into, whether they're party animals, action girls or fashionistas! How about a mini-break somewhere, such as shopping in Paris or Prague etc, partying in Dublin - look up on easyjet.com or ryanair.com for cheap flights all over Europe. You could all go to a spa for a day, go for a day out in London (depending on whether you actually live there or not - I'd like that but only because I live in the country!) do all the touristy things and then go to a West End show. For your thirtieth, make it something to remember! Have a lovely day whatever you do!

Firstly, many happy returns, whenever it is!

Just one idea - wherever you go, whatever you do, download and make a playlist of all the songs that were number one on each of your 31 birthdays (including the day you were born). You'll be surprised the amount of memories that come flooding back!

And why don't you have 2 parties???you can make one with your family and another one with your friends the next weekend, you can go to your favorite restaurant,(formal I'll suggest) with your family, and then the next weekend go with your friends to a bar and they will get b-day shots so you get drunk, play some pool, don't know something that you like to do,( go to a strip bar,go to a dance bar) the thing is that you have fun ok???

Why dont you do something exciting? Loads of places will do you a package and sort you out travel accommodation and activities, it is worth e-mailing. by exciting i mean quad biking or something? you can find somewhere local to you or make a weekend of it and combine it with a night out on the piss afterwards and actually go away to a diff country or something. just a suggestion but sounds fun

At 30 the sky is the limit. Maybe a day trip to someplace new and exciting, or at least different, in a price range you can afford.

I would ask the select ten what they might like.

Throw a theme b-day party, choose something fun like "1970's" or "1980's" and see what funky fashions and music everyone can find. Do a little time-tripping!

On my 40th we went Llama trekking in Yorkshire - it was excellent, you'll really enjoy it and it's a full day including picnic (provided). Happy Birthday!

One year my friends and I got dressed up and went to a fondue resturant. It was kind of upscale so if was different than what we usually do and they whole fondue process is good for socializing. Plus you get to drink a lot of wine!!
