total stangers...men or women.....call you SWEETIE, HONEY, DEAR ETC. I think it is totally disrespectful & annoys the SUGAR out of me. Am I the only one? Should I say something to them & what would you say.
Granted I don't mind it if it is someone that I know.

I rent with a guy and a girl and the guy would shave his stubble and then leave the hair on the floor every time (claiming he didn't notice and thought his shaver magically sucked it all up!). When I asked him to clean it up his girlfriend called me pathetic. Am I wrong in thinking that it's common courtesy to clean this sort of thing up straight away?

my fiance and i decided to get married in mexico and because my parents are planning to be there they are paying for a weeks stay at the same resort. The question is this. They dont feel they shoud put any money towards my wedding because I planned a "destination" wedding and not a "stay-at-home" traditional wedding. I am not asking them for any money EXCEPT for the reception. I am mad they feel they dont have to help because of the vacation expense, but the reception is only about 4 thousand dollars. Do i have any reason to be as upset as i am or should my parents still pitch in for my wedding? i am 34 and already have a baby and a house with my fiance but i am STILL their first born daughter? am i being a brat?

my fathers sister recently passed away, he was'nt close to her and i never met her. i'm not particularly close to my own family anyway. i was the last one to find out and i was told i need'nt go to the funeral. i've just been ordered by the g/f to send a sympathy card to my father. in it i've written "our dearest sympathies on your loss, thinking of you so and so." i don't think this is an appropiate thing to do, should i rip the card up and tell the g/f to mind her own business? or is it acceptable to send your father a sympathy card on the death of a relative of his and yours?. i'm sorry for having to ask as i'm not very cultured.

Yesterday a guy thought he was being "Mr. Nice Guy" by holding the door for me as I walked towards the entrance. Problem was that I was a a number of steps away so inorder for him not to have to stand there holding the door I had to do a little sprint to "accept" his gesture. He meant well but I didn't need that favor. What do you think?

Alright, so I work with 2 other women in a small office. One of the girls (who I am good friends with) had to be at work at 6:30 this morning. I felt bad, so I went to get her coffee and donuts on my way to work. I was going to get something for the other girl too, but I didn't know what she liked, and I forgot my cell phone at home so I couldn't call her. Anyways, she felt really left out and got mad at me for this.
What else could I have done?

i was at lunch today and a kid (maybe 12-13 years old) came up to me and asked for a light, i just looked at him and told him to go back to school. after suffering a torrent of abuse from this little punk i turned around and told him to say that to my face...at which, he turned and jogged away.
