I have recently moved into a townhouse - i have neighbors on each side of me.. One neighbor BLASTS music to where we can not even hear our tv..I have asked once to turn volume down *veryyyy nicely*, they turned it off, and screamed F*** HER! that lasted a day or 2 now its reoccurring..I dont want to "start trouble" and immediately contact the leasing office - looking for some alternative suggestions....

Why is it acceptable in a place of business for women to wear skirts while not allowing men to wear shorts? Is it because people want to see womens legs? I surley know a few women who wear skirts that I would rather NOT see their legs!

Maybe I should go by a Scottish Kilt. Hmmm.....

when i leave extra tips for waiters/waitresses the cab driver ,the janitor. doorman ..whatever,i feel bad for them some of them live off the tips they get,is it crazy to leave too much or should i abide by the % rule that most people go by?

i asked a colleague of mine some document.. and then he replyed that he sent them to me -by mail- so i replyed with a thank you email..

now i recieved my package.. should i send him now another thank you email.. or the last one was enough..

Ok so about 2 week back I got tired of some people from work to all go out after most of them saying "we should all get together and go out" non stop, so I arranged it and all that. Well people were flaking out left and right. But these 2 girls that im fairly close with, one said "yeah ill go, ill call you later" and the other said "i want to go, but no babysitter, ill let you know". Well they didnt end up showing or calling. So I lunch with this other girl and she had made it clear that she wasnt going from the start (respectable). So we go to lunch this last week and her digital camera was in her truck. So I start looking at the pics and I see some of her with those 2 girls and she tells me it was that night that I was trying to get people together to go out. And I also see pics of other nights they all went out. Do I have reason to get offended that they ditched me for her? Also I want to bring it up in some way, should I? And what do I say?

Seems that rich snooty people are passive when they have something rude to say. Just enough so that they dont have to stand behind what they are saying. Shouldnt that be considered rude? They like to believe they are smart, but really they are afraid of confrontation. Isnt it more polite to state your opinions bluntly so that if the person has a legitamate opposition he has the opprotunity to argue for it.Being passive aggressive back works fine, but not how I would choose to argue.

I began work as a mailman two years ago and the co-worker who was training me was talking to a friend on his cell phone about his wife's battle with breast cancer. I clearly heard this. After the phone conversation was finished, I couldn't decide if I should say something about his wife or just act like I didn't know anything about it. I decided to say nothing. I figured if he wanted me to know he would have told me about his wife's cancer directly. I no longer work there but this has been bothering me. Was I right or wrong?
