I'm friends with the bride and groom, but not close friends. Also, I'm a student, whereas they are working and clearly have more money than I do. On the other hand, I did get an invitation to the wedding. I would like to get them something off the registry, but not sure how much $ is appropriate. Any ideas?

If the world could be instantly converted to a Utopia-like place, where every single human had everything they needed (but no one had extra and greed was outlawed)---- Would you prefer that situation, or prefer it to be like it is now: some people have more than enough, some have just enough, and some don't have enough.

This is not a political statement of any kind. Just wondering if anyone would sacrifice their "extra" money so that everyone could have enough to get by.

Seriously, guys don't like that.
I was in NYC today, and every single girl looked exactly the same: obnoxious highlights, HUGE sunglasses, slutty tanktop, ripped denim skirt and ugly flip flops, and some stupid designer purse.

Seriously. Every girl.
Why do girls allow themselves to blend in like this? They don't look good like that, they just look like huge bugs who raided an Abercrombie and Fitch and Canal Street. Come on, there are millions of ways to look hot... be original.

Sorry, but I just had to get that out there. Thanks for listening.
Doesn't any girl want to be unique and individual?
Any guy would take a different style over a girl who looks just like the one two feet away-- especially me.

Does anyone find it irritating when you are out in public and someone stands in line or sits right next to you... I mean within a foot...

Example:

I was at a carnival tonight, and a child around 8 or so sits almost on top of me. I had my nine month old daughter in front of me in her stroller and my dad was next to me ... This kid just runs and sits so close to me. I get alarmed because of germs with my daughter. Plus there were other seats available.

Does "closeness" bother anyone else?

When one person approaches another to initiate conversation, should the person approached drop what they are doing to give their undivided attention or should the other person ask the other to give them their undivided attention? "May I interrupt up you for a minute," or "Hang on just a sec, I'm in the middle of something."

This question is spurred by an experience I had several years ago. While I was waiting at a railroad crossing in my hometown, an Amtrak train passed through. And as it was passing through, I caught an eyeful of good looking woman washing herself through one of the windows. She was nude from the waist up. I think she failed to realize that she had forgotten to pull down the blind because when she saw what I was seeing, she quickly dropped it. Either that or she thought they were in a more rural and remote area as opposed to a city where the blind was certainly needed.
