How can one be polite enough to not hurt someone's feelings when they are constantly interrupting everytime you try to speak. They talk right over you and keep going, even after they asked a question and you didn't even get to answer it..............

Does anyone else think it's sort of annoying to receive a Happy Hoildays card instead of a Merry Christmas card? (This is assuming you're Christian.) At my last job, we ordered "holiday" cards every year to send to our clients. I would imagine the vast majority of them are Christian, but you never know. I've received cards like this in the past, and to me, it just makes things seem sort of generic and not special. As a Christian, I celebrate Christ's birthday, and I don't really like receiving "Happy Holidays" cards. Honestly, I'd rather receive a Happy Hanukkah (sorry if I butchered the spelling of that!) card from a Jewish client than a Happy Holidays card. No, I'm not Jewish, but my client is and they're wishing me happiness on their special holiday. Is this making sense? I'm not trying to start an argument here...just asking out of curiosity.

annie Bee answered my question that i posted from before.. it read: What century are you people living in. I can't imagine any one wanting to live in your ignorant, racist town.
When the next hurricane or flood comes, I hope it destroys the whole town, every single trailer, shanty and all your out houses. Your art gallery with it's paint by the number display ; plus your library and it's all 4 of it's books. Oh yes,and the 2 coloring books your sheriff hasn't finished.

I replied her on a question she asked saying if something or other ticked you off unfortunately i dont haev enough room on this so i will post the answer i wrote tto her as an answer to this.. and i want you to tell me if you think that im right or she is!

There is the firm grasp, extremely firm grasp, fisherman, wet noodle, wet palm, hand jive slaps, knuckles, high five, and then there are the secret organizational hand shakes.

Some people use the left hand (very awkward by the way), those who grab your hand in both of theirs and those who have your right hand in theirs and are holding your right arm in their left hand (to me a very aggressive and suspicious move).

This isn't one of those questions that is going to change the world, but I just had to share because it would be funny if it wasn't SO, so sad.....

I just got off the phone with my local Mazzios calling to get a pizza delivered. I ordered a large thin crust cheese (complicated, I know) which I had to repeat THREE times (not kidding), then the guy on the phone says...."Uhhhh, I guess when we get there it'll be there."

So - what would your response be at this point (after you quit laughing)?

My best friend eloped. She's having a reception to celebrate their marriage. She didn't tell her family or friends. Many of us will have to hop on a plane with less than 2 weeks notice to be at the reception. The reception is more like a party, serving hot dogs and burgers. It's all so informal, which is sort of nice.

But, I find myself struggling with their gift registry. Because everything is so informal, is a gift registry appropriate? I don't even know the groom and I'm her best friend...I find it weird. Thoughts?

some people get really offended with some jokes, but would there even be a joke without ridiculing or mocking someone? If you are one of those people who get irate enough to reply with a solemn self-righteous outburst, dont you realise that you make it even funnier?

I send Christmas cards to all my family/extended family and close friends. I also send birthday cards to all my close relatives and good friends. (We are a military family---thus we live far away from our home areas and can't visit them very often).

Problem is, several of my close relatives and friends I have grown up with---they have either never sent me a card back (I always include my address on the envelope so that is not an excuse) or used to, but don't anymore.

Frankly, it hurts my feelings that when I care enough to keep in touch with them, they can't take a few minutes to send me a birthday or Christmas card (or call). I know people are busy, but aren't your family/friends supposed to be more important than petty everyday things, especially when it only takes a few minutes?

What should I do? Stop sending them cards and risk losing contact altogether or continue sending them and try not to let it bother me if they don't respond?

Why does it seem to be ok to call white people "crackers" but NOT ok to call black people the "N" word?

Seems a bit retarded to me.

And why can a "minority" play the race card, but I can't?

My neighbor leaves his outdoor light on all night. And it wouldn't bother me if it didn't shine in my bedroom and illuminate my room all night. I am a light sleeper and need total darkness when I sleep. Is it rude to ask them to remember to turn their lights off or should I just bight the bullet and buy a sleeping mask?
