It is hard to deal with people like that. What ever you say, they will have a come back and will deflect any of your comments. It also depends on how you are affiliated with her. If you work with her, you can report it to HR. If she is some what of a friend, you might want to consider asking her to put aside some time to talk with you about something important. Have what you want to say well thought out realizing there will be a backlash. Good luck

You tell her as plainly and quickly as possible. I have no patience for those who carry themselves above others, and feel they should be knocked down a few rungs. I've found that in general, the worse the attitude, the more bluntly they need to be told. Tell her to stop trying to be judge and jury, no one (except a Judge or Jury) has that right......she's no better than anyone else and the sooner she realizes that, the sooner she can have real relationships with GOOD people.

The things is, she might actually have really low self esteem, so she puts people down to try to make herself feel better.

It would depend on her age. If she's old enough to handle it and this is someone you know pretty well, sit her down and have a serious talk with her. Try your best not to sound like you are attacking her. If she gets deffensive, back off a little bit. Just make sure that you are as mature as possible about the situation.

You must set it up properly.

I would start to cut her dead, having little to do with her as possible.

Aftre a while, she is going to be seeing that she is being treated differently by others.

When she calls you on this (and if she has the attitude that you describe, she will), you then advise her that you find her depressing to be around because of [at this point, enumerate the behavior that is destructive] and that given the choice of being by yourself or dealing with her corrosive nature, you select the former.

Then end the conversation.

You can't unless she listens, and she won't listen unless she cares about you.
