It isn't something you have to do,I have done the work before including rug cleaning. You are usually charged just for them walking into your place not counting what they will charge for the actual job.

No because the get to keep all the neat stuff they find in your couch, lighters, drugs, pipes, change, keys, panties.

You can tip anyone you feel deserves it. I don't think it is expected by the cleaner, but if you feel they went above the ordinary then why not?
