Or does it all basically taste the same?

I'm in and out of elevators during my work week and noticed how people seldom greet each other "hi" or "hello". I also noticed how awkwardly quiet it can get. There are times I feel like telling someone to "have a good day", but I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable.

I am a kind of young Jr. Accountant in an Urban school district. I have often felt the effects of "reverse racism", but I have a co-worker who refuses to do her job, is snide, and down right disrespectful. (It's almost impossible to get fired here). Since she was transfered during a reduction in force over 3 years ago, she has single handedly been the downfall of our department. She does so little work that my boss had to hire another secretary to make up for it.
She spends all day doing "church stuff," "reunion stuff," or is loudly/rudely on the phone long distance to family. She acts like she's better than anyone else. If someone needs something done she acts all pissed off - how dare we ask her to work.

My boss is out on vacation and I'm in charge, but now I'm at the end of my rope with her. I bring up the race thing because we have a very mixed office and there are definite differences in how she treats whites and blacks and there are no problems with anyone else.

Say perchance you did something hurtful (no, not cheating if you're wondering), and your significant other never lets you live it down by constantly making references to your wrongdoing... rarely taking into consideration any major good you've done them.

Your significant other knows that pointing a finger and making accusations (such as one would scold a dog for being a "bad dog") will only lead to your frustration and arguments.

Not even a thousand goods can outweigh one bad.

Say this behavior ensues for months and months... and this significant other rarely allows you to maintain a good mood due to constant reminders when said rare good mood actually comes to you.

Is this a relationship that one should consider ending for the sake of his/her own sanity?

America is a land of immigrants. Yet they ALL learned English in order to grow & thrive here. Why is it that now, the foreigners expect us to learn their language? If I lived in Spain I would learn Spanish, in China I'd learn Chinese....but I live HERE. So learn ENGLISH!!

I always allow a lady to go first, one of my co-workers doesn't. I always tell him that he's rude. He says that stuff doesn't matter anymore. Does it?

enjoys sex, has different partners, or shows her breasts at the beach to be a w***e, but guys who do the same are considered cool?

If you are a person who thinks like that, then please explain how come you have that different standards for men and women? In my opinion it means that you see a woman as less then a man, and you expect from a woman a much higher standard of living then you do from a man.
Why?

Would you rather people just call you black? They call me white and hose is latino. Thanks

For some reason, this slanted to the right and driving with one hand has become "cool". Why would anyone do this unless you are a complete moron! And these same people seem to also think they can drive really well because they are cool. Com'on! The best drivers in the world are Nascar, Rally, and Formula 1 drivers. If you watch closely you can see they drive with both hands on the wheel. Now who's cooler? A nascar driver? Or a wannabe driving a souped-up Honda Civic?

Recently a friend told me about an ex of his who had said that she was in love with him after a month. He hadnt even made the relationship official at the time and well he dumped her. How long do you think it should be before you reveal feelings like this or even for you to develop feelings like this? A month? 6 months? How long?

I'm talking about the FIRST date here people.

Guys: Are you under pressure and feel that you NEED to pay? Are you expecting the woman to at least OFFER to pay? Or pay her half?

Women: Do you ever offer to pay? Or are you old fashioned and believe its the man's duty to pay?

Any first date no-no's that will automatically cause you to not want a second date? As far as etiquette?
