giving that person a courteous - "out". Or do you assume that because (YOU) called - that person (MUST) want to talk to YOU.?

I have lots of ideas with me . But the fact that I am not able to present , convey or convince or have it implemented . And the more i delay some one else gets the chance to convey it out and then it becomes his/her idea.
Is there any way I can train myself to improve this skill because I am lagging behind everyone.
Any tips to smoothen out this skill???

Is, "Oh, my! Did you hear that cable snapping noise?" an appropriate conversation starter?

Should I get water? I followed the advice from a previous question I asked. It all started with skidmarks. Removed them with paint thinner from the shorts and couch. Put holes in both. Didnt know what to do with the couch so I set it on fire. I'm in the next room watching my couch abaze and speading to the coffee table. What should I do?

I work with this creature, that could pass for a man or a woman. When she was hired, we made jokes that her name was probably "Chris" or "Pat" or something. Turns out it's freaking name IS PAT!!!! It is pretty heavy set so it could be a dude with man boobs or a big woman with small boobs. The way it dresses is no help whatsoever. What are some questions I could ask someone I barely know (without offending) to find out it's gender?

I mean, maybe I have the wrong attitude, but I WAS homeless for 3 months, and I had enough intelligence to seek resources and stay in shelters, get a job, and work my way out of the situation. So now, when I see homeless people, I'm compassionate, obviously, but I give them phone numbers to resources, or food, but never money, becasue if I could do it, and NEVER asked for a dime, I know it's possible.

My wife and I have been living in apartments for the 5 years since we've been married, we've had very lousy neighbors off and on. most to all being of Hispanic orientation.

They blast their Mexican Polka music with base all the way up any hours, day or night. They let their kids roam freely around the apartments with very little to no supervision at all. We have seen thier kids letting off fire crackers in the hall ways. Playing around the Dumpsters, kids as young as 3-4 years old riding their bikes and walking in the middle of the street not paying attention.

Not paying attention to their younger ones because our door has been opened or attempted to be opened on many occassions. Recently found out that we were having roach problems because our neighbors weren't being very clean in their own place next to us, the roach inspector said they had em everywhere and they were coming through the walls. We keep our place pretty clean too.

just wish some people were more considerate

I recently went out with a guy who left a $5.00 tip for a $73.00 meal; it totally turned me off. When his back was turned as we left I put $15.00 on the table. I have decided not to see him again.

Hi,

I have a question about etiqutte when resigning from a job.
Recently, I've tendered my resignation and have requested for early release.

The notice period is normally 1 month, I gave 10 days. My contract allows for giving the full notice or payment to the company.

My job is not a difficult one and I have 2 other colleagues who can take over my role. I have volunteered to return during weekends to do a handover to them and have also said that they are welcome to call me at anytime. In terms of workload.. we have about 10 people on the team and my colleagues don't mind my leaving early.

My manager is unhappy with this though. And I would like to ask if what I've done is proper etiqutte?

Thanks

I applied for a position in county government 5 years ago.. I applied then for the experience and did not get the job. So last year I reapplied.. went to 2 interviews and was very pleased.. but I was told that I didn't get the position but that if the position reopens in the future to apply that I was an excellent candidate. So it opened a few weeks ago and I reapplied.. went to a brief interview..and was told that someone that already worked in that department was also up for the interview but that I was one of 6 interviewed. Yesterday I got a form letter stating that I didn't get it..

Would it be off base to ask the employer what my weakness is that made it so I didn't get the position? How would you word it?
