Don't do a thing! Just sit there and watch it and see how far it can spread. In the meantime, you can continue to ask and asnwer questions!

Try to smother the fire with blankets or some heavy cloth. Call 911! The presence of paint thinner will make the fire worse as it is an accelerant-- it's the same as adding gas to the fire. If you can not put out the fire, exit your house/apartment. If you can not escape the scene of the fire, find an area where you will be able to avoid the worst of the smoke (as you can die from smoke inhalation) and where the flames will have a harder time reaching you. But you need to CALL 911.

If you are still receiving answers to this question, then I can safely guess you're full of crup and the couch isn't on fire. And if it was and you didn't call 911, you probably don't have a house left any more. You really are a blonde, aren't you?!

Call your insurance company and tell them someone just drove by and threw a burning cigarette in your window, your couch is now on fire and you need an adjustor to come out for an appraisal.

Extinguish it and then get your head tested for common sense. Perhaps you need some mental awareness program if you felt writing on here was more critical than taking care of your couch.

No sweetie don't put the fire out; just sit down and lay on it. When you start to smell something simply roll over until you're nice and crispy.
