Great question. It all depends on the relationship, so there's no set time. My bf told me after about 3 weeks. I knew he was feeling it, but I was still surprised he said it so soon.
Some people are okay with it after just a couple of weeks, and some people take over a year to make a decision like that. Everyone's different.
My rule of thumb: When I'm feeling like I want to say it, or get it out in the open, I start with "love" statements, like "I love how we can talk about anything," or "I love spending time with you." That gets the "L" word out there without pressure.
If he responds the same way, I know we're both thinking along the same lines. If he gets nervous when I say these things, then I know to back off, and wait for him to catch up. If he doesn't catch up within a month or 2 after I'm feeling it, then I figure it wasn't meant to be.

You can't put a time limit on feelings! If she felt that she loved him after a month, then good on her for recognising her feelings. You say "He hadn't even made the relationship official..." Why should HE have to make a relationship official before she can have feelings?
Believe in love at first sight?

I really like traingirl's answer.--That is a good way to start the L word into the conversations.
You just need to think about and see how the person treats you. If they are friendly, caring, sweet and make you feel like you are the only person in a crowded room or so special b/c they always want to be with you then maybe it is more than just dating-especially if you feel that way. It is just different with every relationship. You have to feel it out and take a chance by trusting your instincts.

It depends on the relationship.
Obviously the girl felt it and was comfortable enough to voice her feelings....and then she got dumped for it.
If you have only had like 4-8 dates, nothing serious, didn't meet family..it's not that serious so i wouldn't declare Love first.
But if you are nearly inseperable, had plenty of overnighters, met the friends and maybe family members too. You would think it was pretty serious and ok to reveal your feelings in a month's time.

There are no rules hun.
I have been in love that quickly. It is perfectly normal.
other times I have been out with someone for 6 or 7 months and don't feel the love.
each relationship is unique.

It varies in each situation but obviously, if you love the person, you don't want to scare them away! It's best to take baby steps so you can see how the other person feels.

It all depends on how the two people get along each day.
In my case, it took just one month for a person I meet daily.
