Im a 32yrs young African-American male. I was born and raised on an airforce base and both of my parents are still together. I was educated in private schooling all the way from elementary to university. I have no crminal background, I don't sleep around, I dont have any kids. I love Indie Rock music (Sloan my favorite band). Im pursuing my acting career. I speak with correct and proper English but yet it doesnt seem to matter. My own people will say I'm "acting white" and yet non-blacks will say.."wow your different". Which infuriates me. As if im some kind of genetically mutated lab rat. Do I really live in an adolescent society or am I considered crazy for not bowing to these sterotypes? So actually I have about two questions there. Can someone elaborate? Sorry if the first part sounded like a persoanls ad.

Hey people! ok, i know some people get really mad/offended about some of this stuff but i'm just bored and i mean no harm!ok you know like if you're in high school or when you used to be in high school what were you considered? and what group or whatever were you in? i.e. skater preps jocks goth/emo etc. etc. and please tell why. im just curious so please don't be rude! thanx!=)

I was just watching Anna and King, it's suppose to be Tai, but Chow Yung Fat and Bai Ling is Chinese. Also Memoir of a Geisha, the all those girls are also Chinese, but it suppose to Japanese isn't it?

I met a really great guy. Catch is, he is married. He is gay, and is working on a divorce, but it will take some time. People keep telling me "That's what they all say" etc, but why do they all say it? Are all married men lying about that?

I know he's lying to his wife, but we live in a state where he could lose custody of his kids if he came out too early.

A very horrible person! He's very negative, he's ammused in the expense of others. He's very racist! He hates me, because I'm not anything like him. Yesterday, he was talking about how we should hate god, becuase he's making so many hurricane, which might be the stupidest thing I ever heard. He's always yelling, is a very angry person, and can get aggresive. I don't talk to him at all, but he can't seem to stop talking about me, mostly negative thing to, actually only negative things. He refuses to get me baptise, he's very controlling with my mom, and threathens her all the time.

What can I do about this?

So, the fact of the matter is that we all have to share this planet, like it or not. The LGBT people have to share it with the trolls, the democratics with the republicans, the Christians with the atheists etc. How other people live their lives is, in all honesty, none of our business. Whether you agree with it or not, so long as they are not hurting you, why should you get involved? Peace is something we all strive for, love is something we all hope we find and understanding is something which can bring these two things about. So instead of criticising someone else for something they have done, take a look at your own behaviour, and ask yourself this. Am I really in a position to judge this person, when things I have done may be just as bad, or worse?

Back in the 70's they were the innovators of good music...they had style, funk & soul and music that was just absolutely amazing. Then they had the old school hip hop which was also very good. But now, all they make is stupid rap music about being a gangster, doing drugs, and having sex with women. Now its just utter garbage...What happened? Are there any good black musical artists out there still like Marvin Gaye or James Brown type?

I am from the UK but i keep hearing people complainint that there is a shortage of eligible black males (apparently they are either gay, married or incarcerated lol) and that those that are left dont want black women and want to date other races.

I think people should be free to date who they want by the way, but i just want to hear from those who believe that there is a shortage of black men. If you think there is a shortage please explain how you came to this conclusion

I am not buying it by the way.

That we are only after his money? My boyfriend isnt the richest guy in the world, but he is hardworking, drives a nice car and shares a house with his roommate. I dont depend on him AT ALL, because I work and when Im done with my schooling, I'll probably make in six figures, three times what he is currently making. All the black f/ white m couples I know have women who are Registered Nurses or Physician's assistants (except my aunt who works at a bank in London), so I dont see why these women would depend on their white men, when they make a lot of money on their own.
Its just really annoying when people assume stupid stuff. What are your thoughts?

A friend of mine, who goes to college there, just came home on vacation. She was telling me about her experience. In Cuba there are zero homeless people, everyone is given the basic necessities for life such as: shelter, clothing and food. Medical care is even free and so is college and it's just as good as U.S colleges.

For a poor country that's really good, so my question is: Why doesn't America take care of it's people like that? In Cuba you still have to work but you are at least helped.

My fiance & I will be spending the day with family. My son & his wife are planning a very special meal, but they're keeping it surprise. I'm sure we'll be pleasantly surprised as both my son & his wife are great cooks. I really look forward to family time, especially time spent with my three granddaughters. I only wish my son & his family in Florida could come up & join us. I miss my two grandsons. Maybe next year. :)
