i am writting a romance novel, i need to know a state to have my story taking place in. i want a state with mountains, cause thats where i have my characters living in the mountains, but i have not put a state name in it yet. also tell me what tribes are living in such states, please/ thanks in advance.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE
 
1940's, 50's, 60's and 70's !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a tin, and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, our baby cots were covered with bright coloured lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking.

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.

Riding in the back of a van - loose - was always great fun.

We drank water from the garden hosepipe and NOT from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We ate cakes, white bread and real butter and drank pop with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because......

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!!

I recently bought a home in a neighborhood with a lot of elderly people. Some stare and wait until my family speak everyday, some speak only when they feel like it,some don't speak at all, and some just speak too much. I have one neighbor that waves for a loooooong time then proceed to wave all day when they see us... this is annoying. How should I handle it? Right now I just go with the flow.

ok i dont mean this to be racist at all i want to study asian culture and all that, but i was just wondering why do asians have slanty eyes? i know every race evolves for their climate and environment but what purpose do slanty eyes serve? im not being racist im just curious and i know tons of people wonder the same thing and just never say it. thanks

I know that Americans are ready to mind their own business and respect other people's freedom of choice, but I am always hearing that in Europe such groups are treated in a much more tolerable way. Is this true? Could countries like Britain, France and Germany be more tolerable than America? Wasn't America supposed to be the true "free country"? If not, then what does the Statue of Liberty do and why is it standing in Ellis Island???

i'm fed up with stupid actors making all this money, fame, and fourtune. it must be nice not having to worry about bills and putting food on the table for your children. just because you are in a movie, doesn't mean that your special. it seems like alll we hear about in the news is stupid movie stars, and their lives. ya know, i had a daughter a little while ago, and the birth wasn't in the paper. it wasn't in the news. it wasn't anywhere. so what makes these people so much more spectacular than anyone else? if you feel the same way, write me back and express how you feel!

It seems people like Al Sharpton Jesse Jackson and Hillary always answer their questions with a NON answer. They never answer a direct question, just re direct and continue on about something else. More people are doing this in my personal relationships as well. Are we all lemmings following these sleezeball politicos?

This is more of a philosophical question. The reason I asked this question was to find out peoples opinions on what would have happened if Africans had gone into Europe and the Americas. Would they have colonized it the way Europeans did or would they do something different. Would Africans abuse their power? Or are Africans genetically more moral and peaceful? If colonization and slavery would the resulting new Race of American-Africans and European-Africans resent there African roots or there European Roots?

I have a gay son who I am very proud of - lately he is having problems seems very down and having problems at work - I even heard him talking suicide - I need to know where to go to get some advise. why is there no black people in native american movies white people make but white people can be in indian movies i mean we were there to and we fought we them we even have a history to white people tried to hide from everybody else.

I was watching South Park the other day and it was on Scientology. Throughout the show, they were telling where Scientology originated from and like what the scientologists actually believe in. They said they believe in like aliens and that there was this great war and the dead aliens' spirits live in the human's body??? And like on the bottom, it said "This is a true fact" or something like that. They were saying it was true!! is it? I mean, I dont know anything about scientology and it sounded really stupid. Especially knowing that South Park is a bunch of bull s h i t ! ( I still ove it) Someone please explain to me

Ok, a few days ago I asked a question wanting to know if I should tell mt bff I like her as more than a friend. Well, I dicided I wanted to tell her. But when I start to try to tell her I get so nervous I almost puke. Then I chicken out at the last minute and start talking about something else. I want to tell her SOO bad, but every time I try, I just can't. I replay how I would tell her over and over in my head a million times and I feel really confidant, but then as soon as I see her I start getting that weird feeling again. Then I stay up all night thinking about how stupid I am for not telling her. I'm like completly exausted from not sleeping, and I feel anxious and can't stop thinking about her 24/7. Yesterday I just broke down crying in my living room from being so exausted, emotionally and physically. I HAVE to tell her, but it's just so hard, I don't think I'll ever be able to do it. Then I'll just end up regreting it for the rest of my life!!!! HELP, what do I do?!?!?!

Why do SOME of you say so many negative things about black women? Now I know as a white guy, white people have said negative things about everybody. I'm asking a series of these questions because, I asked my fiance' who is black but I don't feel like I'm getting the full scope of the issue. I have date black women my whole life and have found the black women in my cirlce to be hard working, educated, honest, reliable, SEXY AS HELL, and kind. Now I'm not gonna lie and say I have not met some black women that have met the stereotype, I have; however I know a lot of white women who also fit that stereotype, I know latino women who fit that stereotype. It just seems I don't know crazy that some black men say so many negative things about black women, but at the same time have a white woman on thier are, get mad when they see my fiance' (who black) on my arm, and when they get into some kind of trouble the first person they usually call to get them out is . . . .a black woman.
