listen to this quote of a mom who watched the process...im not for/against it, im just researching it so when the time comes ill make the right decision for my child

I heard him cry during the time they were circumcising him. The thing that is most disturbing to me is that I can still hear his cry...It was an assault on him, & on some level it was an assault on me. I will go to my grave hearing that horrible wail, and feeling somewhat responsible, feeling that it was my lack of awareness, my lack of consciousness. I did the best I could, & it wasn’t good enough.

It was the most gruesome thing I have ever seen in my life. I told the doctor as soon as he was done, if I had a gun I would have killed him. I swear I would be in jail today if I did have a gun.

"When they brought him back to me, I could see that he had been crying and had a glassy, wild look in his eyes. I think it was terror. I didn’t know what had been done to him, but I could tell whatever it was, it hurt. I’ll never forget that look. They probably shattered every bit of trust he had. I’m very angry about it. I would never have done that to my own son. No mother would take a knife to her child."

Not sure on the percentage, but its easier to celan a circumsised. Actually, I won't swear it, but I think you have to tell the doctor if you don't want it done. I'd definetly get it done, though.

don't listen to the first two answers,( or the first part of the third one) the only "legitimate" reason for having it done is religion, intact penises look better and if cleaned properly (a very easy and quick process, can be done in one minute in the shower) have no health defects and are actually much healtheir than an intact penis, you see the glans or "head" of the penis is actually a mucous membrane, not skin! circumsision causes this surface to become dry, hard, and less sensitive, it can also disrupt bloodflow.

Although most american men ARE circumcised, this does not mean that it's a good thing. tight skin around the penis can cause splits in the skin and pain during sex and masturbation. this website is really informative! it gives pictures of beautiful men and their beautiful bodies as they naturally should be, and it has lot's of information.

Not only will it provide less feeling for him when he is older but it is a barbaric. I could never understand why one would mutilate their child. The reason why people do it is because the child can not speak out against it. Ask a guy who has done this and he will say it hurts like hell.

I am...most dudes are I would think...it's a lot cleaner. and it'll save you from some problems later in life. Like bacteria can build up around the head if you don't get it done. and erections can be pretty painful. I hear it's worse if you wait til later in life to have it done. It's best to knock it out early then to have to deal with it later.

Most American guys are. Most European guys are not.

I am an American but not circumcised. Personally, I'd rather retain the foreskin. It's easy to keep it scrupulously clean. It's nice to have one in truly cold weather and when swimming in cold water.

My mother tried to have me circumsiced when I was a week old, but I beat her off with my rattle and kept myself whole!

I think I once heard that it was half and half, y'know? Apparently it's cleaner and much more hygienic to circumcise, though.
