I am from the UK but i keep hearing people complainint that there is a shortage of eligible black males (apparently they are either gay, married or incarcerated lol) and that those that are left dont want black women and want to date other races.
I think people should be free to date who they want by the way, but i just want to hear from those who believe that there is a shortage of black men. If you think there is a shortage please explain how you came to this conclusion
I am not buying it by the way.
PS - apologies if this question is not PC - but sometimes you just have to cut thru the BULL!!

i would prefer that the racists refrained from asking this questions - i know how you feel about black people (i just dont care). I mostly want to hear from black women because those are the people who i hear complaining about the shortage. Toodlepip!!

blue lady - you have problems reading hun. I am not trying to meet anyone. This question is posed to those black females who claim that there is a shortage. I have never had trouble meeting black men, ESPECIALLY when in America - which is why i find this claim hard to believe.
But it really doesnt matter - if it makes you happy to think i am a white male, go for it - even if it is ludicrous ! (a look at my past questions/answers should illustrate that i am a black female). A little common sense wouldnt go amiss love!!

Umm, they're only interested in non-black women. White women are precious to them.

Tammy f, are you serious...that's a load of sh*t!!!
I think that Blacks in America are the last ones to hold on to this illusion of the "white picket fence and 2 kids"...when this does not become their reality they are disillusioned. We need to evolve our thought processes. (if you don't believe this just ask one that's close to you what his ideals about family & dating are, seriously)
It is true that as a black woman becomes better educated and more successful she may find her self with few black men to choose from that are on her level. But even this can be deceiving. I am not saying that this woman should settle, but if you find a hard working man, who believes in God and is good too you, so what if you make $10K more than him a year. There has to be a compromise, and we need to do it quick because the black family is suffering from absent fathers.
Also black woman should consider dating outside their race if they truly belive in this shortage of men.
Personally I think they are everwhere...and I love them!

This saying is somewhat true, many Black men go out with white women, that by your standards would be eligible. There is also a number growing of Black men that are going out with the other races also.

Yes there is a shortage of available black american men for black women. The issue is very complicated.
First, from a poverty and economics stand point a lot of black men from poor background end up in jail, uneducated or unemployed. Not marriage material.
Also, there are tons of gay men who are homosexual and bisexual. Lots of black women are being infected bc of bi black men.
Third, the influence of american culture encourages more and more black men to pursue relationships with non-black women and they don't appreciate black women's beauty or style anymore.
And finally, the culture celebrates black men's sexuality more than their role as fathers and husband. So a lot of them believe they're entitled to date around and cheat.
African Americans have our own culture and wanting to be with someone whom you have that in common with is quite normal. But sistas need to seriously start dating outside their race and their culture.

Don't' see a real shortage but again probably depends on you geographic location- i used to live east coast and there were a plenty of eligible black men- but now I am west coast and there are a lot of black men who date women of other races and don't even look my way- very different from east coast black men. but love is where you find it- no matter what color............

Depends on the location. If you are in Kileen, Texas, there are more Black Men per capita to Black women than anywhere in the country. Atlanta has a large Black population If you are in Maine or Montana , there will definitely be fewer available.

See that! Tammy, let me tell your retarded, cousin marrying, inbred, typically white butt something. You know less than most of your ilk and that's saying something. So, you sit in your bedroom parroting something you heard while hiding in the closet from your father, (wasn't he on Catch The Pervert),
and thinking you're cute.Next time I want to hear from you, I'll look before I flush!
