I''m still a 'newbie' on here, and I've mostly posted in the News category because I like current affairs and I assumed it would be a place to get different perspectives on issues.
What I've actually found in there is the most vicious set of people you could ever come into contact with. They're currently wearing their 'I am a bully T shirts' and actually having fun attacking another member who is caring for a terminally ill child. What I find all the more bewildering is that those participating all claim to be mothers themselves.
I don't know why I'm posting about it, other than I feel greatly upset by it, I've endured a lot of racism over the years and I suppose when I see another human being made fun of and her situation turned into a cause for humour I feel helpless, not only to say something helpful, but because I don't actually understand what drives people to act like rabid dogs
Any insight or advice would be appreciated

If it is then why would the people in the middle ages do it? Why did they do it now and we dont? Why does it seem so disgusting to our generation and not way back then? I guess they did not know that their child might be born with special needs and a bigger chance of getting hit with a desiase.

Do you think it will ever end?

Im curious because just last night my friend did not want to walk into a McDonalds late at night because black people were outside. Now it pissed me off because she didnt even give me a reason to why she didnt want to go inside even though I knew what the answer was.

We've all had those moments where we go to a chinese resturaunt and were expecting to see an asian waiter or waitress or we are walking down the street and we see people with color walking in our direction.

Im just curious if anyone other then me thinks racisim will never end?

I cannot abide these awful little cafe's that insist on serving one tea out of those awful mugs that seem to be everywhere these days. The tea is sloshed with milk and turns out to look like dishwater. I always insist my man-servant tests the temperature of the water before filling the Tea Pot. I insist on China tea cups..and even on my adventures in deepest, darkest Africa I always took my best China cups and my Lapsong Souchon tea with me..those bloody servants just can't seem to get it right. I remember it clearly. The buildings fall one by one. People thinking that the the first plane was just confused and lost. I did not sleep for days and days.

ok, so don't you think it's a little hypocritical of some christians who believe that homosexuals choose to be gay and they believe they are (which we don't choose btw) when their religion is based simply on faith without any logical reasoning or proof. even if people chose to be attracted to members of the same sex, at least they have something to back it up: that one likes to have a relationship with one of the same sex. while christians say there is a god without anything to back it up except for the bible. and that doesn't do anything, if i wrote on a piece of paper that monkeys can fly doesn't make it true. i know this question is hard to understand because it's hard to compare the two subjects.

As a child, I remember all the ladies, on Sunday afternoons, putting on aprons. I thought nothing of this as they would come home from church, slip into an apron and start dinner.

Now, as an adult, I do not own an apron! lol Do you recall the usage of aprons being common?

so i'm 16 and since 8th grade i had been dealing with am i gay, straight, or homosexual. it was after i lost my best friend. wasn't attracted to her or anything (can't stand her now)

when i was in 4th grade i had a crush on my female teacher. but then i kissed a boy a year after and loved it

anyway i'm flashing back. is this how you felt or was it diffrent. i mean i want to go out with a guy to movies and be asked out to a dance. its just when a girl on tv acts sexy to a guy i get a pulse in my pubic area (sorry). and then i wanna go do it with a guy.

i do wanna get married to a man. and i can't experiment because i wanna be a virgin until i get married. and i couldn't really see myself kissing a girl

A "friend" of mine has just gotten out of a relationship and says she doesn't want to have any relationships for a while, though she insists that she'd be fine with messing around a little.

Well, I just don't want a relationship but I wouldn't mind some sexual contact but I really don't want her emotions getting tangled. How can I initiate this without making her think I want something more?

Or do you not care? Like I was with my friends today and we saw a lesbian couple kissing and they were insulting them and calling them disgusting and that they should go to hell. I was like, "Uh, I'm gay" in my head.... I know that people there will always be people out there that will hate me for that, but to hear my close friends saying that is kind of hurtful.
