The society already shuns them. The government shuns them. Now all we have to do is shun them ourselves. To continue to give answers and other such attention to people who insist on their ignorant ways only gives them power. Ignore 'em they're stupid.

I don't understand it.....
The homophobic Y! answerer's go to the gay section, the racist Y! answerer's go to the cultures and groups section, the sexists Y! answerer's go to the women's section, on and on ...
If they hate those people so much, why do they come to these sections and spend sooo much time here... ? I suspect they are secretly obsessed (envy/jealousy/ignorance) with the people they pretend to hate and this is the only way they can say the things they do anonymously...

They do it for the reaction, I think. No, they wouldn't say it in public because they'd probably get their brains beat in. But under the cover of an anonymous user i.d., they suddenly can become brave and insulting!
