Or do you not care? Like I was with my friends today and we saw a lesbian couple kissing and they were insulting them and calling them disgusting and that they should go to hell. I was like, "Uh, I'm gay" in my head.... I know that people there will always be people out there that will hate me for that, but to hear my close friends saying that is kind of hurtful.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean, and it does bother me! I was talking with a few girls in my class one day and the subject of gays was brought up... they were saying that if they had a gay son they'd accept him because he could give them good fashion tips, and if they had a lesbian daughter they would throw a bunch of hot guys at her... they sounded pretty serious too. I didn't say anything, but I did roll my eyes and just walked away.

Yes, this happened when I went to the King of Prussia mall in Philly with a friend (we were waiting to see the new HP IMAX Movie) He had to make fun of every gay and lesbian there (which was a lot). It really ticked me off... I just sat there on bench and said nothing. I mean to tell him I was gay at the moment would've just caused a bad scene.

Now you know their true colors and you can, in good conscience, find other friends.

I've heard people around me say things like that and I have NO problem telling them what they're doing is wrong. It's our job as out LGBT people to support our fellow community members by standing up to homophobes and letting them know that what they are saying is not acceptable.

No, I've never had a friend say things like that because I wouldn't spend time with people who I know would be so callous and bigoted. You may want to seriously consider the calibur of people you are spending time with.

That REALLY bugs me, but I'd say if you're *not* out to your friends, just say "I know a gay person (Name someone) and I'd prefer it if you didn't talk about gays in my presence" or something like that. And if they DO know you're gay, then I'd confront them, seriously, because that's rude as h-e-l-l. My friend used to say stuff like that and I asked him what he would do if I were gay, and he stopped because he thought of my feelings. And then he came out of the closet. *weirdness* and this was before even I came out.

People are so immatures about gays and bis and leisbians. I mean gosh, love is love who cares if its a boy or a girl you love as long as you love them. Hopefully this immatureness about gays lesbians and bis will be a thing of the past.

You didn't tell them you were gay did you? I don't hang with the people I didn't tell and they know not to say things like that. I'm very picky about my friends and people like that are no where near being my friends.

I think there is a time and place for everything it doesn't matter if they are straight couples or gay couples, if they want to make out or tongue kiss or whatever they need to get a room, I'm not talking about not showing your love in public, there are many many ways you can express your love in public, but not in such an explicit sexual way.

Many of those kind of people changed their tune when I came out to them. The others left.

I don't like seeing anyone kiss in public even on TV unless they are two cute guys, of course. What your friends did was hateful and rude. If they don't like it that's fine but don't call people names and be cruel.
