ok, so don't you think it's a little hypocritical of some christians who believe that homosexuals choose to be gay and they believe they are (which we don't choose btw) when their religion is based simply on faith without any logical reasoning or proof. even if people chose to be attracted to members of the same sex, at least they have something to back it up: that one likes to have a relationship with one of the same sex. while christians say there is a god without anything to back it up except for the bible. and that doesn't do anything, if i wrote on a piece of paper that monkeys can fly doesn't make it true. i know this question is hard to understand because it's hard to compare the two subjects.

Auz,
Actually your question is very easy to understand. It goes to the core of the dispute of Choice to be gay vs no choice to be gay.
The Christian Right feel that being gay is against a moral code provided to them by God via the writers of the ancient Israelites. This moral code was provided to guide them through many hundreds of years of survival as a nation of people.
The person who is gay knows in their very being that what they feel is correct for them because they live it everyday. The gay person does not have to have a book telling them what moral code to follow since it is written into their being. This "written into their being code" is part and parcel who and what they are. To do other wise is hypocritical and eventually leads to many forms of a dysfunctional personality.
For a Christian to impose a belief standard or code upon another is far from a loving act and yes is very hypocritical since it lacks the loving kindness that the Bible states is be basis of the Christian moral code.
OPPS!! Hypocritical Christians zero -- Gays win.

I am a Christian.. and I don't say its their 'choice' to be gay. BUT.. with that said.. it is their choice to sin against God by giving in to the temptation of homosexuality. They can control that as much as I can control not having sex before marriage.
Not all Christians are horrible hypocrites, as you suggest. Why do you find fit to single out the entire group? I don't see why you want to pick a fight bud.

I am just stubborn ^.^ you made fun of Christianity.. I don't think I did anything to deserve being mocked is all I am saying. I didn't make fun of homosexuality... at all.

Anyone who believes in Christ is a Christian, and will likely be stored. Read John three:sixteen-18. No sin is higher than every other, and all of us sin through idea, phrase, and deed. Yes, your very ideas condemn you. How commonly have you ever hated any one who did whatever to you? The Bible tells us that you're responsible of committing homicide only for pondering that dislike. Why do you get to preserve to sin, and deny that to homosexuals? Because you "take a look at" to not sin??? What makes you feel homosexual Christians don't do the equal?

Don't you see by your question that you are just as bad as those gay-bashing Christians? Not everybody of any group should be painted with the same brush. Are you exactly like every other gay out there? OF course you aren't. Just because you don't believe in God doesn't mean that everyone else in the gay community agrees with you. There are plenty of gay Christians out there.

I have no problem believing in God and believing that being gay is not a choice.
eric e: Muslims are not trying to pass laws in the US to prevent gay people from marrying, adopting children, serving in the military or putting our partners on our health insurance at work. Christians are the ones doing these things.

Blind faith has no reasons but homosexuality has, and that too scientific, It would be more effective if you modify your approach to take up the issue of Christianity and Homosexuality on the lines that any rational human being should be able to at least grasp it if not agree with it.Leave flying monkeys to them as they would be quite at home with them.

I understand what you are saying and wonder similar things. They are quite hypocritical in ways beyond your single example. Maybe they should choose to change and get a cure for their religious cult activities...?

I think nowadays people can do whatever they like or want. Okay, if it is not harmful to our society at large. Who can be more evil than Donald Tsang (Hong Kong chief executive) and George Bush, you US president!
