Why do Indians hate Pakistanis...I dont know much about the history of this feud, im from the U.S.

It's mostly because India is a majority Hindu country, & Pakistan is a majority Muslim country.

Indians and Pakistanis share a mutual hatred primarily due to religious differences - India being predominantly Hindu, and Pakistan predominantly Moslem.
There are few things people don't realise though:
1. Culturally, linguistically, and racially, Pakistanis and Indians are practically the same. Pakistanis and Indians eat the same food. They speak the same languages. The only difference is religion.
2. Although the majority of people in India are Hindu, there is a very large population of Moslems in India. It's almost 1 Moslem for every 10 Hindus.
3. India and Pakistan (and Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Burma) were once one country - The British Indian Empire. Many people think that the Pakistan separated itself from India because of religion, but the truth is it was the British who had India and Pakistan partitioned. They probably felt it would be a good way keep "India" in check by dividing it into two parts and pitting them against each other. I don't think they ever imagined the two countries would become nuclear allies.

Indians think Pakistan should be a part of India which is now in control of Pakistanis (97 % of whom are Muslims). Hinduism require Indians to complete their Bharat Maata (mother India) by making almost all neighbouring countries part of India. Pakistan is the biggest obstacle in that goal. Pakistan also helps other smaller countries like Sri Lanka against India. According to some Hindu beliefs all land masses along Indian ocean (like Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia) should be the part of India.

Not all of us hate them. Anyway it's like this. The Britishers give independence to us and then a group of ppl want a separate portion of India for Muslims alone to create a Muslim country. So the place gets split up into India and Pakistan. Pakistan wants 1 more state from India cos it feels that there are lots of muslims there. But there are Hindus also and so India refuses to budge. That made Pakistan angery and the militants occupied a portion of the state which is called PoK(Pakistan occupied Kashmir). There goes. Two countries fight since we got independence from the Britishers. That's it in a nutshell.

I think that simple people can always live togheter, and don't hate so much.
This was an political manipulation like others. And maybe the moslem coutyies are a little nervos!
And i ask you...What they want...all wolrd, why India can't be a peacefull hindu country and always some stranger want to "save" indians and kill hindu tradition. Chirtians are going in India and lie ordynarry people, and declair whithout respect that hindus are evil and satanic, Muslim declair the same think!
Why the world can' love hindu relligion?...Maybe because hindu is Sanatana Dharma ...and the only religion where human mind is not manipulated!...freeee for think and act.
I whish that betwen India and Pakistan will be peace!

Who told u Indians are hating pakistanis? We are ready to welcome them as brothers.
The Factor between India and Pakistan is not we people, it is the Politician and Terrorist groups.
You know, when Indian cricket team played in pakistan, the visitors from India has been given a warm welcome by Pakistani people and they rendered food and lodging for Indian fans and they treated them as their own guest.
Similarly Indian people celebrated Inzamam ul haq's bday when he was in India by giving sweets to all those present in the stadium.
These are all some simple examples.*
A pakistani girl of 3 years is operated for a heart surgery and she is surviving now and that happened in India.

Firstly it is because of religious differences.Secondly Pakistan could not get Kashmir,which was of economical importance.Thirdly our Indian film industry are misguiding the masses by showing films against Pakistan.

These are just rumors which came across with the breeze from india to us,
so not to worry as every indian and a pakistani is a best friend and will be the best friend till the world is finished....

It is not correct that Indians hate Pakistanis, I love Pakistani being human beings and I m Indian .
