I cannot abide these awful little cafe's that insist on serving one tea out of those awful mugs that seem to be everywhere these days. The tea is sloshed with milk and turns out to look like dishwater. I always insist my man-servant tests the temperature of the water before filling the Tea Pot. I insist on China tea cups..and even on my adventures in deepest, darkest Africa I always took my best China cups and my Lapsong Souchon tea with me..those bloody servants just can't seem to get it right. Who agrees wih me. Your affectionate Uncle, Artemus Fangora Fogg. (Look forward to my further adventures, I shall keep you well informed).

My dearest exploring Dr. A. F. Fogg,

Reading your short missive regaling the loss of civility suffered by so many at the hands of those who may choose to serve tea in anything but fine china very nearly brought a tear to my eye. Not wishing to cause possible distress to my many servants who scrape and bow when I grow misty eyed, I chose to forego the overwrought emotions, and instead I am writing in reply.

That our present civilization has stooped so low as to take even this last bastion of gracious living has led to many sleepless nights in my palace. I will rest much easier knowing now that somewhere in the deepest darkest recesses of the planet one lonely man struggles valiantly against the forces of crude pottery.

Your bravery gives me heart. I am mightily touched.

Thank you.

some Europeans could drink tea from a pitcher cup, yet it is a minority. some Europeans additionally carry a sugar cube between their tooth and suck their tea in the process the sugar cube. yet no longer all do this, the two. maximum Europeans i've got met, and maximum ecu cities i've got been in, have had china tea-cups (suitable formed with a fluted handle) and served espresso in promptly sided china cups.

I hate the thick mugs and paper cups.
I love tea, and want to drink it every couple of hours, but when I go out, I drink coffee because I cant stand the hot milky water that has had a tea bag dipped in and out of it.

Tea tastes wonderful out of almost any type of cup or mug, as long as it is not too strong.

How excellent to see that even in the jungle one keeps up one's highest standards. Sack Jeeves if he can't get it right.

I believe you posted this question in the wrong section. You want food and drink. Unless you want your cake and eat it too. Whatever the hell that's supposed to mean.
