The Clowns that stood on the stages and made thier Leaders look like fools. And like it was funny to take it up the butt? And their lives were nothing but a Big Joke?
And the people became cynical and apathetic, and LET their Nations go to hell?
I think my boys previous question was bassackwards. We take things far to LIGHTLY!

No. The last great civilization to fall was the Romans, who fell because they relied on the Christian god to help them instead of doing it themselves.

I think it has always ben the case that leaders had bad or good jokes made at their expence. This seems to happen most with dictatorships. Often in the form of plays or books, humour is a very good way of letting people of power know that hose they allegedly serve think they are going wrong and where. Don't knock it

It sounds like you would feel at home in 1930's/40's Germany, where everybody had to agree with the government and work towards national greatness, Deutschland uber alles and all that.

Every great civilisation has fallen because they overextend themselves, thus making themselves more vulnerable to attack. They become arrogant and believe because they are powerful they are invincible. Inevitably, they piss people off and get themselves attacked to the point that they can't fight back. So actually it's the opposite of what you're saying. No great civilisation has been destroyed because they aren't constantly fighting, but because they fight too much. Nothing last forever.

Great Civilizations fall when they embrace a high degree of immorality and call it normal, destroying the family unit which is the backbone of every Great Civilization. Embracing abortion, homosexuality, drugs, alcohol, adultery, etc., these things have destroyed every nation that normalizes such behavior.
