The Bible says to "judge a tree by its fruit." However, I do not feel those on the Christian right, or Christians as a whole judged George W Bush. Good in a lot fo ways, but terrible in others. If you "judge a tree by its fruit", you could see that there was and still is something wrong with this guy. I can not even say that he is a Christian really. I look at the many things he has done in the name of security, and I realize that he was just pushing his agenda all along. I feel as if he soled out to "coperations." I truly feel that he is not a Christian at all, or he is a "back - sliding" Christian. I await your responce.

It is hard to fathom a loving God doing this. Perhaps there are a few truly evil people who might deserve to go there. But have you ever met a human being who is unworthy forgiveness?

This is a sister question to one I asked a few minutes ago.

I have read from the Abraham-Hicks books that they refer to God not as the titile God but as Source.

"When we use the word God to express this Non-Physical Source Energy, we find that because it reminds people of the ideas they already hold around this world, it often prevents them from being able to find the deeper clarity that we seek to provide..."

They go on describeing the Source as being pure positive energy. And we are his extensions.

Looking back at questions I've seen on this forum; this believe or idea of God is to me the most purest.

Many feel condemed and/or fearful of not believing in God.
..to which I ask; which God? ...the God that sociaty or thier parents have instilled in them. Or is it the idea/s of God?

Any thoughts?

well lets just say something happen and my views of God just turned overboard. i feel like God is evil right now and i'm trying desperately not to think that way. becuase i want go back to being a person that sees God is a loving person who really cares. i get all these images in my head of God putting me on this earth, giving me an ultimatum to either love him or burn for all eternity even though i never asked to be here (yes i know nobody asked to be born). i feel like God can pick me up hold me in the air and make my body twist in all kinds of shapes and sizes, or put me in a box and make me gag and sufficate for as long as likes me to. if youre a coldhearted athiest, then dont bother answering because i'm just looking for help, and not to be insulted. does anybody have anything to say or like any past expeirences that can relate. becuase i dont want to think like this anymore

I live in Illinois where the Fed's just put ex-Governor George Ryan in prison for curruption; many of the current Governor's associates are under indictment for curruption; the current Governor is being investigated; and in Cook County, the poster for curruption and nepotism, they have a motto for election day: "vote early and vote often".

Do you really laugh at others who are not like you? So basically you want people on here to bow to no God and laugh at others that are having their lives changed by God? Is it really funny that people have found a faith that can change and save their life?

Is it a sin when your faith comes up short?

I think I messed up big and am in alot of trouble. The only thing is I don't know what exactily I did wrong. I do know that I have been completely stressed and overwhelmed and that is not of God. I mean if I had faith, I would have trusted Him and not worried, and then I probably wouldn't be in the mess I'm in. So I repented and asked God to help me to have more faith. But the more I think about it, the more I realize that no one can ever have "enough" faith. It's something God gives us and builds in us over time. But anyway, I feel really bad for not having enough faith to stop worrying. So the question is how do I get out of this? Is it a sin or what is it?

A woman said that creationism answers all the questions.

So, answer the questions:

1. Do you agree?
2. If you do, why? If you don't, why not?
3. How does it answer all the questions? How doesn't it?

Thank you for answering. Have a good day!

Well I was thinking food is too disposable. Car services--too utilitarian, Clothing and accessories---ugggh we're talking WalMart here so probably too disposable, and a cd or dvd too intangible. So come on help.

All rational thought on the subject leads to the conclusion that there is no supernatural forces. IF you replace the word god with vampire you would call a believer insane but there is the same amount of evidence, literary sources, to back the existense of both God(s) and vampires or any other mythical beings.

Yea... you name it.... from television, computer and baseball games to casino and intristically evil sexual acts.

By the way, worshipping idols = addiction; any addiction that is, and conformity to slavery, mutilation, and disgrace to anything that is Holy. ie. Addiction.

My family is officially Lutheran Christian but we never go to church (except for Christmas Eve) and we aren't very religious at all. I got interested in Buddhism about two months ago and I've read four books about it and mulitple websites, and when I told my Dad I wanted to be Buddhist he freaked out! He's more of an athiest than anything, yet he was really angry just because I wanted to be Buddhist. When I told my mom, the religious one, she said it was OK. What the heck?

Why are you on here fighting against something that you do not believe is real? Would you try to fight the tooth fairy? Why do you give your entire life fighting against a God you do not believe in? Please help me to understand. You believe christians to be foolish. What makes you so much better than people who believe there is a God to dedicate your life to fight against them?

I've been blocking people left and right, for the flimsiest of reasons, - which is new to me - but am still having several questions per day removed. Who are the report monkeys I should have blocked? Anyone care to share with me (through email, if you prefer anonymity) who they think is the worst? I ask in this section because this is the only section I frequent, and naturally some of the people here should know who should be blocked...

Thanks :)
