Decide on what you want to be doing in the next year, and do things that symbolize that. Make up a bunch of food on Dec. 31, so you don't have to cook.
Then, get up early. Take some of your favorite exercise (a nature walk, maybe, or some fun tennis -- or skating at dawn!). Go home, have a great breakfast and a little cocoa, and then relax. Read a book, or write a letter to a dear friend.
Have a nice lunch, then watch a funny movie. Before dinner, make out a check to your favorite charity, or better yet, volunteer to help someone at dinner. Catch up with a friend for dinner (or after-dinner drinks). Relax before bed, do some yoga or meditation, then get to bed early.
Have a great new year!! It's really a clean slate for you, and you can do whatever you want.
