This is a sister question to one I asked a few minutes ago.

I have read from the Abraham-Hicks books that they refer to God not as the titile God but as Source.

"When we use the word God to express this Non-Physical Source Energy, we find that because it reminds people of the ideas they already hold around this world, it often prevents them from being able to find the deeper clarity that we seek to provide..."

They go on describeing the Source as being pure positive energy. And we are his extensions.

Looking back at questions I've seen on this forum; this believe or idea of God is to me the most purest.

Many feel condemed and/or fearful of not believing in God.
..to which I ask; which God? ...the God that sociaty or thier parents have instilled in them. Or is it the idea/s of God?

Any thoughts?

God is "a source of energy"; but God is much more than that.

The evidence of design of the universe and humans, suggests a personal intelligent creator.

Energy alone, positive or not, can not explain an orderly creation or thought. Energy does not design, it just provides force, which may be used for work.

Your quote only points to challenge that preconceptions pose in looking clearly at things.

If God is real, there can be only one!!! People call this entity by different names but that's just religion at work.

The term "The Source" works just fine for me as I have a firm belief that God doesn't give a hoot about what religion we are. I think God looks on the heart of the individual...that's how great I believe God is! Blessings!

Yah Ive heard of him but dont know much about him and his teachings but Christians should never use God in the terms as a Source. He is God the Father and to me any other term used for God to me doesnt seem to glorify God but only seeing Him as our eternal Heavenly Father.

Yah the girl above has it right good answer scotgirl and so does estabon in the use that we dont have transcendental thinking outside of our human thoughts for God is all knowing. And thats why I have a problem with muslims in designating the name Allah.

Usually when people call God the "source" or the "loving energy source known as God," etc., it is a new-age religion and a bunch of mumbo-jumbo trying to redefine what/who God is for their own purposes.

That is exactly what this reads like to me.

Well If you just believe in God, and follow his commands, then that is good enough.
there is no need to dwell on what he really is, because that is out of the human comprehension.
