It is impossible for us to serve God with the old man.It is the new man that we serve God with.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
2 Corinthians 5:17

2Co 5:17 So that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new!
Eph 2:10 for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them.

When we are in Christ and He in us, we are regenerated, renewed, and born again, and this new creation is spiritually minded, whereas the old nature is carnally minded. The new nature is in fellowship with God, obedient to His will and devoted to His service. These are things the old nature is incapable of doing or even desiring to do. The old nature is dead to the things of the spirit and cannot revive itself. It is “dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1), and can only be made alive by a supernatural quickening which happens when we come to Christ and are indwelt by Him. He gives us a completely new and holy nature and an incorruptible life. Our old life, previously dead to God because of sin, is buried, and we are raised “to walk in newness of life” with Him (Romans 6:4).

Yes, we are. WE are no longer under the fallen sin nature. WE have the nature and mind of Jesus Christ, when we are truly born again. and we will not deliberately sin. 1 John 3:9 makes that clear and there are other verses to match up, and do note that is new testament. amen
God says we are now a new creation man (MANKIND) and that we will hate sin as He does. We not only will live and speak like Jesus, we will do the things He did.
Not doing going works to buy our salvation, or try to earn it. Absolutely not. The gift is free thru Jesus Christ.
But, the Bible also says faith without works is dead.
God commands us to have a mind and nature like Christ, to be overcomers now, not of the old fallen sin nature.
We are to have JEsus Christts very excellent mind as well.
Its about loveing others and loving God, and loving ourself as God loves us. WE not only will know that we are still to know what sin is by looking at the commandments, but we will follow them, not only in action but in thoughts.
PPL today say oh we arent under that old law. God said Jesus fulfillled it, not absolished it. The law points to sin, and therefore, we are to know the law, and to know we not only know and do it, but its in our hearts. and minds. When we are under the new covenant, we will see, you cant do the things contrary to the old law, because now we love God and others to completion. How can you do something that would hurt another person if you lvoe God and others. How can you not obey God if you love Him.
This attitude of grace covers all continuing sin is a lie of the devil just as he did in the garden, YOU SHALL NOT SURELY DIE>
SIn seperates us from God. Sin leads to curse and death, hell and the grave, STILL> The cross didnt change that. Jesus death on that cross, was to free us FROM Sin, not free us to sin, GOD FORBID.
Obedience still leads to blessing and it is still very much required by God.
But, because of the blood Of Jesus Christ, we have been given a Holy SPirit that will lead us, guide us and empower us to be the overcomers God requires us to be.
And, we will ask God WHAT MORE CAN I DO FOR YOU? AND NOT,
HOW LITTLE DO I HAVE TO DO TO BARELY SQUEEZE THRU THE GATES OF HEAVEN?
jESUS GAVE US HIS ALL. HOW DARE WE OFFER ANY LESS?
Faith without works is dead.
sin is dead to the born again
Great question...
