The Bible says to "judge a tree by its fruit." However, I do not feel those on the Christian right, or Christians as a whole judged George W Bush. Good in a lot fo ways, but terrible in others. If you "judge a tree by its fruit", you could see that there was and still is something wrong with this guy. I can not even say that he is a Christian really. I look at the many things he has done in the name of security, and I realize that he was just pushing his agenda all along. I feel as if he soled out to "coperations." I truly feel that he is not a Christian at all, or he is a "back - sliding" Christian. I await your responce.

Can I get an amen for this question. If it wasn't before, then through George W. we have truly become the United Corporations of America. He cares nothnig about the poor or middle class of this country. Only his constituency. His foreign policy is totally void of negotiation. He has successfully alienated us from nearly every country on the globe. George W. is no more an example for the children of this land than Bill Clinton. He cannot speak publicly. He stammers so much, he is unbelievable. I don't know if I can say he is a back-sliding christian, but I do think it's fair to say that christian ideals are not even close to the top of his priorities.

Yeah Bush is a fake! I wish more people would read that verse about you can "judge a tree by it's fruit". Bush is unfortunately a fake Christian. Anybody can say they are a Christian but that doesn't make it so.

I think it is practically impossible to be president of the United States (or any nation) and also Christian. There are too many conflicting standards and norms between one and the other. A Christian would have to refuse to participate in many of the things that are part of a president's routine duties.

Bush is a Christian in name only. Very few actually follow the teachings of Christ. Feed the poor, house the homeless, clothe the naked, etc. Outside of the abortion issue, name me a republican who ever followed these teachings of Jesus. The g.o.p. espouses Christian beliefs, but theirm actions do not. Although they can argue the "teach a man to fish......" scripture. There-in lies the problem with the bible.

Sorry fred. Bush is a Christian. You'll just have to live with that.

Maybe you should consider Atheism. It's a very easy idea. When death comes it is just like going into a deep, untroubled sleep that will last for ever.

You don't need to join with anybody like Bush because he is Christian. You get to use your own opinions without worry about religious dogma.

I second that. The guy is a phony Christian. He is also a puppet for the NWO. I hope and pray that Ron Paul wins the 2008 election even though i am not American. I've had enough of Dubya and his warmongering and "freedomizing".

I am not a Christian, but I do come from a Christian background, and I would have to agree with you. I think it is all a farce to get on the sides of the mainly Christian American Citizens.

I do believe Bush is one of us. I do not agree that he sold out to corporations. Only God knows the heart of a man and even a President. I do know what a leader is and that President George Bush is one. But doesn't that make all Americans leaders if he is one of us?

I think what you are referring to is judging a plant not a human, as the Bible also states judge not lest ye be judged, and judgement belongs to the Lord. So most or all Christians would not judge another person.

Yeah he has done a lot of questionable things over the past couple of years. But it's probably a bit hard being president, let the guy go a little bit, he'll be out of our hair soon enough :)
