Here, is a small excerpt from the author of the Constitution. You make your own decisions!
“ Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legislative powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between church and State.[51]
-Thomas Jefferson

"The government of the United States is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion." Treaty of Tripoly, article 11

-John Adams

My husband is a Jehovah’s Witness and they do not celebrate birthdays or holidays. I informed my immediate family of this prior to us getting married. We have been married for almost 3 ½ years and my family still asks the same question over and over and I am sick of it. They know other people of this religion and they respect them but for some odd reason they want to pick at my husband. This is especially a problem with my aunts and my mother. It’s almost like I hate for the major holidays to roll around because I know they’re going to ask if he’s coming to dinner or why he didn’t come to dinner. They call me way in advance to ask whether or not he’ll be attending and it’s only to meddle.

and people who believe in God dont believe in evolution? people say that you could have either evolved over time and thats how there are humans OR we were just created by God. Why cant it be both? i believe in God %100 but I also do believe in the evolution theory. I mean if we evolved from chimps, where did the chimps come from? God. so why cant it be both like I just stated? We could have evolved from chimps which were created by God. why doesnt that make sense to other people

Is Islam a violent religion? I am not asking whether the followers of Islam use violence, I am asking whether Islam itself is inherently violent. Also please stick with Islam and don't use this time to bash other religions.

I would appreciate textual references from the Koran, historical examples from the history of Islam and other references to Islamic culture in general.

I think it is terrible to penalize a loving couple by taking away the Social Security funds which they worked so hard to earn simply because they want to marry. What can we as a society do to change this cruel law? Do you know any couples who have decided to simply live together instead of getting married because of this atrocity?
Thank you for your response to my question.

I'm not going to mention names. It's not a lot. But a few. But anyway, doesn't it just piss you off when you see people randomly going around promoting their religion as if it's some kinda toothpaste commercial?
like,
Come to our religion(not gonna mention which)
It is the only way.
Praise ________!
He will save you. Read the ______.
And yes. Religion promotes healthy white teeth too. =D

hooboy.

I'm Jewish and am just curious of everyone's thoughts. By allowing everyone else who isn't Christian to practice their religions and not interfier, do you pretty much think that they're doing everything wrong and praying to a God that doesn't even exist? And if so, do you think they look at you this way?

Besides saying something like, "When I let Jesus into my life, everything changed," how does anyone know that their religion is correct?

There is really no true proof of any religion. Nothing that is (I guess you could say) scientifically accepted.
