I don't know how to keep the prosletyzers civil in this one; that goes for the atheist as well as the theist, but please by all means try, that's all I ask, if it get's violent enough, I may be tempted to report you. That's all I'm saying for now. Thanks! Notice this is in the Religion and Spiritually category, if you don't like it, please show yourself out. Thank you kindly, all.

Fyre&Reighn: Sorry everyone, I knew, I should of clarified....and sorry, I stepped out for so long, but the question, edit I would if possible, refers to the Notre Dame movie called, "Rudy", and had no intent indirect or otherwise to critique, the present mayor?, of New York....by anyone's standards I beleieve Rudy Guliani to be a heroic man, and it would be polite, to refrain from posting, if they think otherwise. but then again the free-will thing right. Just realize, you can't pick up one end of the stick without picking up the other(Franklin Covey). No I am not a Latter Day Saints attendee, But His 7 habbits can stand on its own with or without a religious-influence. That I dare say is character, and I believe Mr. Covey and Mr. Guliani would agree on that point. Enough Sermon, game on ((whistle)) play ball!

Escaping to the Cloth can be seen in every seminary.

Those of us who attended seminary, know that a majority of men and women there are trying to escape something that has hurt them in life.

There are far more effeminate men in seminary than other studies. The reason for this is because many of them are Gay and were brought up to believe that it is wrong, so they are giving their lives to Christ to try and absolve and wash themselves from the Gay sin.

Others are very angry at the world and feel like God chose them specifically to fight against tyranny. A very small percentage are actually trying to make a difference in the world through love and belief. Many of them get disillusioned and move out of seminary when they start learning about the historic origins of Christianity.

Its tough to learn that the bible that you grew up on and were told was inspired from God has gone through so many changes, and that the men who determined which books were inspired were actually very immoral people.

Until I read this question, "Escape into the cloth" didn't mean a thing. I'd never heard the expression. Now, to me, it means I probably have to watch the movie Rudy! to find out. I seem to recall that there was such a movie out a couple of years ago and I don't think it had anything to do with a prominent New Yorker.

But I could be wrong.

That's part of why I keep coming back to Yahoo Answers, you can learn something new every day.

It means absolutely nothing to me, unless you are talking about Guliani hiding behind religion.
