I'm not going to mention names. It's not a lot. But a few. But anyway, doesn't it just piss you off when you see people randomly going around promoting their religion as if it's some kinda toothpaste commercial?
like,
Come to our religion(not gonna mention which)
It is the only way.
Praise ________!
He will save you. Read the ______.
And yes. Religion promotes healthy white teeth too. =D
hooboy.

For christians: Well, i've seen pretty much quite a few christians saying that "atheists should just die" or thing like that.sounds like a threat to me. I know most are generally nice(but some still keep insisting on shoving what they believe down my throat) but there are pretty much a handful that are really threatening. Also there are those who will tell you that you will happily burn in hell but this i'm kinda used to and they dont seem dangerous.I dont wanna mention names but i promise you, there are some here on R and S.

Haha i dont mind what people believe in. Just dont get me involved.Besides, the reason i'm an atheist because i dont believe in the killing that the holy books condone. If i were to kill any theist(whichever kind). You can call me a hypocrite and i promise, i wouldn't deny.

And yes. I know there are atheists that can be extremists too, but how often do you hear atheists killing over people over atheism?

Extremism is dangerous in any form. Especially religious fanatics and political zealots. Since the beginning of recorded history they have caused more war, death and destruction than any other factor.
Personally I have only see a couple of members on YA R&S that I would consider "dangerous." Most are simply giving their opinions on the question asked. There are a few that their rantings are so rude and shocking (both sides) it makes my hair stand on end!

No, you're not the only one, but "potentially dangerous" is what extremist-ism is all about. Extremists are willing to go to the extreme to get their point across and unfortunately that includes killing in the name of their "God" and expressing their "righteousness" on this type venue, such as Yahoo. In R&S a high percentage of people think that what they believe is absolute and reference the book by which they draw their conclusions. I love your "Toothepaste commercial" analogy....Classic. In absolute or in mocking, both are annoying and unproductive.

Darling, you can stick your head in the sand, plug your ears and say, "la la la" all you want but you ARE involved in religion because you are religious. And right now, you are promoting your religion like some kind of toothpaste commericial where the toothpaste tastes soooo bad, you can't pay the people enough to capture smiling, toothless, faces.
I am not going to name names, but atheists are the worst at preaching. Take you for example. You feel this need to be right on this subject for what reason???
If there is no God/creator, then there is no reason/purpose for your existance. Since you can't give the reason for the existance of someone after they exist, then all people's life is meaningless.
So then why are atheists afraid of dieing or why would an atheist bother to prove their point as right as both death and right have to do with purpose.....which atheist claim they don't have when they claim they don't believe in God.
E=MC^2 can tell you how you exist but will never tell you WHY you exist. Without a purpose / reason to live, nothing can be right .... but you are desparately trying to prove you are right.
So you contradict yourself when you say you are an atheist and therefore believe life is pointless/purposeless/meaningless
....and trying to prove a point which implies purpose/meaninging/ and prove-able points exist.
And you fear death for what reason unless you haven't fulfilled your purpose / your reason for living / that which God created you to do.
It is the only intelligent and logical answer. The rest of the answers are like the atheist's.....trying to sell you something you don't need ..... like "natural selection" is the law people were created to follow.

i'm a reasonable, calm, good natured, knowledgeable woman.... yet I as quickly as witnessed a guy beating a donkey over the pinnacle with a chain in Greece, permit circulate of my military officer husband's hand, and sprinted one hundred yards till now grabbing the chain and placing with regard to the cruel pig with it. So confident, curiously i'd nicely be risky!

They just want you to have a nice shiney smile.
It's kinda like a typewriter/ computer thing. Is you didn't know what a computer was, and somebody else did, wouldn't you want them to tell you about the computer so you could get rid of the typewriter?
In their eyes they are doing you a favor. Just like any religious zealot who is "absolutely certain" that his/ her version of reality is the really real version and everyone else is an idiot for not seeing it.

That's awesome. Or maybe I've drank too much of that German thingy, the one with that name that I can never remember. Ehh; whatever.
I don't think they're really dangerous. Clinically insane? Maybe. A bit.. off? Maybe. Just plain crazy? FERSURE.

Well, there are quite a few "Marketing Executives" one sees here trying to flog their "Religion"; but those who are here to merely mock the others' Faiths are really much more!
Haven't you noticed those that go "_____, does ____ pray to Himself?" and "______is the only True Faith!", not to mention "_____ are brave and their seamen is powerful!" and other such crap??
Don't know which ones are the worse; but, they are quite irritating.
Peace.

ugh- He loves you or you will die and be cast into the lake of fire- don't say I didn't warn you I love you and telling you you are going to burn is my task in this life because I am serving an all powerful god that probably doesn't need service.
Praise Jesus.
Did that make any sense to you?
Me either.
