If I was you I wouldn't expect a logical answer to this question.

Evolution is a fact

Apples and oranges my friend. God or not God is basically a faith based assumption since it can not be proven. (It's philosophical in nature). Evolution on the other hand is a scientific hypothesis--subject to testing-evaluation-observations-and can ultimately over the course of time be proved or disproved beyond a reasonable doubt. All the data thus far points to the validity of the basic hypothesis.

I admit I haven't been asking atheists to prove there is no god. (I do believe they are no closer to proving their view than I am to proving there is a god, and in fact I am much closer to being able to demonstrate that there is no proof, either way. I am equally irritated by those on either side who write as if they have proofs.)

But I'll jump in on this one. Evolution (the common descent of different species of life) is quite thoroughly demonstrated as a valid scientific theory. Since Darwin developed his theory based on observations of species variation and distribution, it has been extensively supported by evidence from two unrelated sources of additional data: the fossil record (very little of which was available to Darwin) and DNA analysis.

The DNA evidence, in fact, suggests that if there was a deity who created each species independently, that deity must want very much that we all believe in evolution. No other explanation is possible for the relationships of portions of DNA that do not encode active genes.

I think that many christians are attempting to show that they are not evolved in an attempt to disprove evolution. Too bad they do not understand what they are showing.

Well, in science, nothing can be proven. It can be scientifically sound, but not proven. The only thing that backs up evolution, is the "geological column" and that doesn't ACTUALLY exist! It is just a theoretical picture! There is no actual evidence for evolution! And, another thing that is against evolution, is a thing called "intermediate links"... They are a mix of animal, kinda like it's stuck in the middle of evolution. There are none! If evolution were real, then there should be MILLIONS of them!

We did evolve. I think most Christians, except for the most extreme fundies, would agree with me.
