Just ordinary Joes will give the only life they have to save strangers. I'm talking one or two strangers.

Not to say that dying a horrible death would be fun. It would be awful. But...how many humans already make much greater sacrifices than this?

My question is, would you? I'd certainly die for my children and many others that I love. Why is it a big deal that a god would? And what is 3 days of death to an immortal being?

A little while ago someone posted a question asking whether any senior citizens planned to improve their educations through online sources.

I read a lot of QA over in the astronomy section. After I considered the question a bit I visited Astronomy to reassure myself online information sources allow us to really do some serious learning.

Here are a couple of questions that jumped out at me:

"Why are objects tilted when I look through the eyepiece on my telescope?"

"Are the planets in space like earth as far as having a cold North Pole and Hot South Pole?"

Good for a laugh or two this cold night. And the first one has a lot of potential for deep philosophic ponderings tomorrow while I try to build up the will-power to get out from under the covers.

Shouldn't anyone who can answer that second question be awarded an online degree?

...it appears as though someone put a time limit on the question process? Some questions seem to make absolutely no sense, are poorly worded, have every other word misspelled, and have impossible grammar. Are people not aware that they can take time to reread their question, correct spelling errors and make sure the question makes sense? Is this just an example of the direction our society is headed; that more and more of us don't know or care how ignorant we really sound?

I have always hated christmas since i was little. I can't even get into it for my kids. There is nothing worse than being stuck with a bunch of relatives you cant stand all day. Anyone agree.

The e word that I am referring to is expecation. There have been times and there are still times that I have very high expecatations of marraige and my husband and when things dont go the way I would like them to go I feel dissastified and disappointed.

In light of what I just said what is a good way to have realistic expecations in marraige and just to enjoy life even when marriage or my mate may not go the way as planned?

How can I discern if it is God's will for my life? I was at a foreign country after my college doing Missions. After I came back from my Mission field, my desire was to look for a job so that I can go into campus ministry. However, I couldnt find a job for long time to raise support in order to go into ministry. My church seemed like they would support but later they couldnt support me because of their financial issue since they bought a new church. If I couldnt get a job for long time so that I can do ministry although I prayed, try to take action and church is not supporting, is it mean that God is saying "No" through cirmumstances? or is it not from God trying to block me? How can I know?

one day i was really bored in church so when i am i just flip the bible around in fifferent spots and i happened to read a paragraph that was saying we wouldnt know anyone, like have relatives or get married in God's new system of things. can someone please tell me the scripture because my mom is studying with Jehovah's Witnesses and this is going to contridict what they are saying. I also think i was in the front of the bible so that means old testament.
