Please go to blueletterbible.org click on study tools on the left hand side and then on cults. You will find everything you need to steer your mom to the truth and show the deception in this religion as compared with God's Holy Word.
I truly hope that this will help you and your mom.
The scripture you are looking for by itself will not do it.
They are very cunning and very learned in their religion. I am ashamed to admit that many in the christian faith or not.
Stand by for a hard battle as there is a very strong spirit behind this deception.
May the grace, truth and power of God's Word by the Holy Spirit in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ who is the fullness of the Godhead bodily and declared to be God by God the Father grant your mom freedom from this deception.
Here is just a taste of what you will find to help you:
The Trinity
They Say: There is no Trinity - Let God be True, p. 100-101; Make Sure of All Things p. 386.
The Church Says: The doctrine of the Trinity is Biblically based. (Matthew 28:19; John 14:26; John 15:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2)
The Holy Spirit
They Say: The Holy Spirit is God's impersonal active force - The Watchtower, June 1, 1952, p. 24
The Church Says: The Holy Spirit is not impersonal. (John 14:26; John 16:13 ; Acts 10:19)
Jesus and Michael
They Say: Jesus was Michael the archangel who became a man, Jehovah's first creation was his 'only-begotten Son' and was used by Jehovah in creating all other things - Aid to Bible Understanding, pp. 390-391. The Watchtower, May 15, 1963, p. 307; The New Word, 284.
The Church Says: Jesus is the Creator not a created being. (John 1:1-3; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Colossians 1:15-17)
The Resurrection
They Say: Jesus did not rise from the dead in his physical body - Awake! July 22, 1973, p. 4.
The Church Says: Jesus did rise in Body. (Luke 24:36; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8;John 20:24-29)

The Church Says: Whoever believes that Jesus is Lord will be saved. (John 3:16 John 14:4-6; Romans 3:23-26)
Hell
They Say: There is no hell of fire where the wicked are punished - Let God be True, p. 79, 60.

Those Who Will Enter Heaven
They Say: Only 144,000 Jehovah's Witness go to heaven - Reasoning from the Scriptures, 1985, pp. 166-167, 361; Let God be True, p 121.
The Church Says: All who believe that Jesus is Lord will enter into Heaven.(John 14:1-5, 23; Matthew 16:19)
Here are some other beliefs they practice:
* Blood transfusions are a sin.
* The soul ceases to exist after death.
* They refuse to vote.
* They will not salute the flag.
* They will not sing the "Star Spangled Banner."
* They do not celebrate Christmas or birthdays.
* Their leadership will not allow them to serve in the armed forces.
* Those that leave the organization are known as apostates. Jehovah's Witnesses cannot talk to them or even greet them on the street.
* For many years it was taught that Blacks were that color as a result of God's curse on Canaan.
* Lying is part of "theocratic war strategy." A Jehovah's Witness can lie to someone if they are not entitled to know the truth.
* Periodically Jehovah's Witness doctrine will change. This is known as "new light."
Are these the guidelines that an Awesome, Gracious, Merciful, Loving, All Knowing God, would give you? NOT!
Jehovah's Witnesses are trained in the art of verbal battle. Do not engage them. Pray first and share the scriptures verse by verse, point by point. Share in stern love, you will disarm them.
But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
1 Peter 3:15
Defend Your Faith With The Word!
All Scripture Is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. 2 Timothy. 3:16
I am truly moved by the many answers that have come from my dearly beloved brothers and sisters in Christ.
There are many answers also that could care less about your mom or your desire to free her from this deception.
What amazes me are the many poor souls out there who have never even read the Bible from cover to cover and yet just rely totally on info from the web, books, tv programs, movies, teachings of other religions, etc and never from the true source, GOD'S HOLY WORD. At least read the Bible from cover to cover before you choose your religion.
May God give you eyes to see, ears to here, and a heart to receive the love of the TRUTH!

It doesn't sound like the Old Testament to me.
In the New Testament, Jesus, and later Paul, believed that the apocalypse was coming soon, the end of the world as we know it. Jesus hinted over and over that this would be soon, in the lifetimes of the people who were there at the time. And he encouraged people to leave their families and follow him. Jesus was not big on 'family values'. 8^)
Later, Paul said in one of his epistles (letters) that young people shouldn't get married because there was so little time, but that it would be better to get married than to sin. Though they come after the Gospels in the New Testament, Paul's letters are chronologically the earliest documents in the New Testament (this is why Paul never refers to events in the life of Jesus, as related in the gospels--they hadn't been written yet!)
Speaking of Jehovah's Witnesses, I had a good friend in college in the early 1970s who told me that the apocalypse was coming in 1984. He pointed to places in the New Testament where Jesus implied that the end would come during the lifetimes of those who heard his message. According to his church, the message had been preached all around the world in 1914, so it was one lifetime after that, 'threescore years and ten', i.e. 70 years, so the end would come by 1984. He actually dropped out of school to spread the word because there was so little time.
I bet Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe that anymore. 8^)

What your mother is going to find out, contrary to many 1/2 truths being presented, is that Jehovah's Witnesses teach the Bible.
The bible says those who have died and are resurrected will not be married to the one prior to death.
This is why death of a spouse ends the marriage, enabling the surviving spouse to remarry without committing adultry.
Those resurrect to heaven get spiritual bodies, and become as the angels, neither male or female. (1 Cor. ch. 15)
Those resurrected to Paradise on earth, will be re-created with the same phyiscal features they had prior to death, but without the inherited sin.
Your children will still be your children, your parents will still be your parents, and if your spouse had been your best friend during your previous life, they will continue to be your best friend in the new system.

Well we will know our loved ones, but we won't be in a marriage set up when we are with The Lord God in heaven. Matthew ch22v30 - if you read from verse 23, you will have a better understanding - just a word of caution, ask the Holy Spirit to make it clear to you and your mum - to keep you from any confusion - JW teaching is very different to Christian teaching - the Holy Spirit leads us into the truth.
I pray God will be with you
Blessings

I couldnt be exact but the laws and ordinances are in Deuteronmy Chp 20 to 26. Then if you go back to Genesis it says Jacob had many wives...Im not really sure my biblical knowledge is not great..Leviticus Ch21 onwards also mentions relationships..Those are the only ones I know if it is near the start of the bible.

Respectfully, there's no such scripture. One of the beauties of God's new system is that we will have forever to spend with our loved ones, including those we lost in death over the years. Read Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:3,4
I think Bobby Bonsai might be right, but that was referring to those that have the heavenly hope. Not all those that would survive Armageddon.

I believe you are referring to Matthew 22:23-20; Mark 12:18-27; and Luke 20:27-33
Okay let us consider Jesus words at Mathew 19:6 - "So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has yoked together let no man put apart."
And Mark 10:9 - "Therefore what God yoked together let no man put apart."
And let us consider Genesis 2:22...
In all of these contexts God was central to the marriage act...
Matthew 22:30 - "for in the resurrection neither do men marry nor are women given in marriage, but are as angels in heaven."
Consider what is actually being said, "NEITHER do MEN marry nor are WOMEN given in marriage" Meaning it is out of their hands...
What about "but are as angels" part? Well, let us consider the comparison. What are the attributes of an angel compare to a human? Angels are perfect, Humans are not. Angels directly answer to God, Humans need a mediator. Angels respond to God's Will with eager Willingness, Humans need help.
By this you can see Jesus was not saying resurrected people were not going to be married or not get married, but simple humans were not going to set the standard. This is were Genesis comes into the equation... Adam and Eve were brought together by God himself...
Also by saying the resurrected people will be as angels points out that they will be children of God, like the angels are now. Perfect...
Journey Well...

Why does it matter... She won't see you again since only 144,000 Jehovah's Witnesses are going to heaven anyway... just Jehovah's Witnesses.
Also she needs to stop:
Reading romance novels
Watching daytime soap operas
Celebrating any holiday or birthday
Reciting the pledge of allegiance
Voting
Hanging a cross on her wall
And of course ever associating with an ex-Jehovah's Witnesses. Wonder why?
