Because even if you believe that it is all God's word, and I don't think it all is, there is no doubt that it's people who translated it, and people make mistakes. You might be doing something badly wrong because of something being translated wrong.

tell me if i have misunderstood but...

Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins.
In the bible it says that the way to get to heaven is believe in jesus.
so , If I commit murder or adultery ect because jesus died for all sins does that mean i will go to heaven still for i still believe in jesus christ and becuase he died for us all all our sins are forgiven...

I know im probably not making any sence but I just dont understand...please help...

ive decided i want 2 find out about the soul and always wanted to know what would happen if a little child said he or she would say they would sell there soul from an early age and picked seven as it was the first number that came into my head. please tell me the truth as its a question what i want to know also if there was a heaven, hell or after life what would happen to there soul or would they just float in time and space or if the contract would be null and void. many thanks

Now according to the bible, after the big dookeroo between god and the devil, man will live on the earth in total peace and harmony, with all the animals etc. theres one problem with this. in 3.5 billion years time the sun becomes a red giant, and will engulf everthing in its path this side of venus, in which case all life on earth will be extinguished. so any idea how any kind of deity could prevent its ever so faithfull flock and all life on earth from becoming BBQ

I am planning on getting a tattoo in french, and I want it to say "Je n'ai aucun regret", which is supposed to mean "I have no regrets." Is that correct?

Women in power positions is butch to me and I don't like it. My aunt has a female boss at work and she tells me how moody she is and how she doesn't like it. I want more women to be feminine!!! Plus, it says in the Bible that men are supposed to be the elders!!! Its so frustrating in this country b/c they don't go by the Bible.

When I say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas? There are so many differant religions, I just want to make sure I don't offend anyone. I would not want to say Merry Christmas to someone who celebrates Hanaka. Why can't the christains see that I am just trying to be friendly, to all cultures without offending anyone. I have a $0 limit for my aunt. She is 50, pretty casual, and I have NOOOO clue what to get her! Her house is already STUFFED with knick knacks and general stuff, so I want to get her something just for her. It turns out that she is to. I never expected to get this far with these resuts, so now idk if i should tell her i like her or not. i tried to take the advice of a person who answered my question before, and get over her, but now i just like her even more. i have been more honest with her than anybody in my own family, and i can't go a fulL day without talking to her without getting depressed, nervous and irritable. i am so non religious, dont believe in god at all.
my friend is a mormon so i decided to read up about it. why would anyone believe all that rubbish. they pay 10% of their earnings to the church. why should you have to pay to go to church. its not right. they also abstain from coffee alcohol and tobacco to live a healthy life. my friend has many illnessess and one of her children has severe learning difficulties. so obviously abstaining from all these to live a healthy life hasnt done them any good. i drink a bottle of wine a night and smoke like a chimney and i am healthier then her. when they get married they agree to obey their husbands. i dont obey anyone. if i dont want to do it i wont do it simple as. she was bullied as a child cos of her religion now her son is going through the same thing. they say they are believers in family commitments etc but who would put their child through that. i just find it really hard to comprehend. thanks for listening.
