I mean... why do ALL OF YOU think that God hates them...

You go even so far as to protest at the funerals of deceased servicemen who were found out to be gay.

How can you be so hateful? How do you know that your God is so hateful?

I have never heard of an organization called
God hates Fags.
God loves us all. Jesus told us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. God loves you and I love you.

I do think you are generalizing. There are crooked people everywhere. At your workplace, there are good people and bad people. Same in a Christian church. There are the good, and unfortunately there are the bad. A select few. In the United States there were terrorists attacks by radical Islam/Muslim. I stress radical. The acts of those people by NO means represetns ALL people of that faith. Just like I said there are crooked people everywhere. There are good, "normal" Islamic/Muslims, and there are of course the unfortunate radicals.

Note: I do not know EXACTLY what you are talking about because you have not provided any news article, website, etc. But I believe you are referring to a SMALL organization called the Westboro Baptist Church. There website is www.godhatesfags.com. if you visit there website, and search newspaper websites you will learn more about them. Some things you will learn is that they are SMALLLL, composed of like 2 families. Theyve been around since the 50s. So thats not even quite 3 generations worth of people.

This organization has been featured on FOX news more than a few times, and Im sure if you search youtube.com, etc, you can view the footage for yourself and you will see the westboro "baptists" argueing, yes ARGUING with "true" CHRISTIAN anchors.

I can understand the conclusion you came to, but please dont assume a small radical organization accounts for the faith of millions. If you assume such things, you are no better than a racist. A racist sees one black person commit a crime, and thinks they are all criminals. Trust me, that kind of generalizing is the SAME thought pattern.

I never have, and never will, support any organization called ''God hates'' anything. Fred Phelps is way out of line. He's been that way for years. I do not consider him to be Christian, and I really don't think many other Christians do either. In my eyes, he's more of a klansman than a Christian.

Peace,
Drew

God does not hate anyone. 1 JOHN 4:8 He gives us choices in life. Sometimes we make wrong ones, yet they are still ours. If he hated people he would of gotten rid of this earth along time ago. He is patient and wants you to come into a relationship with him. This will help you make better choices.
"Each one will carry his own load" Read the Bible daily and you will find out about the creator Yourself instead of listing to others who don't get the whole picture or think things out. ok.

Not all christians hate people with alternative lifestyles. You are thinking of only one particular group, who is really just a form of a terror sect, IMO. You are looking at extremists and making a blanket statement like that is both ignorant and mean. God loves all of his children, regardless of their beliefs, lifestyles or anything else. If you have been alienated because of your lifestyle I feel bad for you and FYI, that hateful term you put up, what my family calls the other f-word, is only used by bigots.

westboro baptist church(wbc) indeed is around 200 members and yeah, most of them are related.
on the side note, many baptists are against the wbc

anyway, you are generalizing based on a minority..
and even if they are the majority, that is not a good basis.

think about it.

do you want america to be judged by other countries based on a few?

how about mexicans, do you judge all of them because of a few who cross the border?

how about blacks? do you judge them because of what you see on tv?

anyway, if you are going to judge Christianity, I would give you a good place to start.

Shane Claiborne. go do a little research on him, he is still alive as far as i know and he is still young.

short list.
he left his home to live with the poor- goes to court for doing so.
he gets arrested for feeding the poor.
he goes to iraq while america is bombing it.
he goes to calcutta to mother theresa

anyway try to find that in the library IRRESISTIBLE REVOLUTION.

anyway, come back and judge christianity after you look at his life.

Oh, my God.

If you think that every single Christian is like those f***ing wackjobs, then I've got news for you. Those freaks aren't even Christian, they're a hate group using religion as an extremely crappy excuse.

Get a clue. Don't put all of us in one group. I'm Catholic and I'd like nothing better than to drop an atomic bomb on their stronghold.

Lets tell the truth here--

That group is not representative of the Baptist church, or Christianity at all. It is a rogue legalistic group of spiritual perverts. No Christian organization will even recognize them as a valid church, or ministry of a church-including the Baptist.

Now about homosexuals-

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man--and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

Because they are in fear. They have always been taught fear and doom and so they act the way they do. Religion is for people who are trying to keep from going to hell. Spirituality is for people who have already been there.

Come from a place of love and you will never ever be lost like that.

If you read the four gospels looking for Jesus Christ's condemnation of homosexuality, you could go blind. It's not there. It would seem to me that if homosexuality were such an abomination, God on earth would have mentioned it at least once.

However, Jesus does tell us to love one another in Matthew, and it's strange that He doesn't say "love your Christian neighbors or straight neighbors or white neighbors." He just says to love them all.

Maybe something's wrong with my Bible.
