Women in power positions is butch to me and I don't like it. My aunt has a female boss at work and she tells me how moody she is and how she doesn't like it. I want more women to be feminine!!! Plus, it says in the Bible that men are supposed to be the elders!!! Its so frustrating in this country b/c they don't go by the Bible.

Why don't we just be like the Muslims and cover them from head to toe in a black veil of shame? Of course we would also have the right to douse them with kerosene and set them on fire if they misbehaved, as in some Muslim nations. And then we could blow ourselves up, get our 72 virgins and discard our earthly wives.

Why do you fear women in power? Could they do any worse than, for example, than the current president? Women have made great contributions to our society, and there are many women in the House and Senate. What harm have they done? The bible does not exclude women from public service, or any other functions of society.

Forget about the old testament and go by the words of Christ. He did exclude women from various aspects of society. Mary Magdalene was practically an Disciple, and very nearly an Apostle. She was one of the closest followers of Christ.

yeah - and we should have laws that say people of any minority cannot be president, too. while we're at it, lets say Christians cannot be president.

your suggestion borders on the insane. just because you have a problem with women in power doesn't mean you are right.

so you get a job and you make a dollar less an hour than the man working next to you doing the exact same job. would you think that is fair? would you ask for equal pay? women in power have made it so you can get equal pay and many other things. these "butch" women have worked hard for all women in our country. you insult them. disgusting.

if you don't want women in power then go live in a country where women don't have any real rights. i will contribute to the price of your ticket just to get you out of this country.

okay then.... y? just because some women have attitudes, does not mean they all do... what part of the bible does it say women can not be president, and back that up w/ scientific proof? being the head of the family does not equate to work, nor does it really apply to life today... where most women are the head of the home and many men don't give a fig about their kids/family.
besides not everyone in the country is a christian... and in some denominations of christianity too women are the head

I don't like domineering men, either. The idea that a president should be bossy and anything that can be regarded as "domineering" is wrong. The President is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The best corporate CEOs are those that can organize and delegate responsibility, that listen well to their specialists, but also listen well to their stockholders (in the case of the President, the citizens of America). That's how a corporation is successful, and the USA is really more like a corporation than anything else.

wow! I thought America is a developed nation. This question explains why there hasn't been a woman president before in spite of the country being so called 'developed'. The countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh and India which you think are underdeveloped are beter off than you in this respect.

Also, I didnt know that Christianity was the state religion of this country. Aren't the state and church supposed to be separate according to the political philosophy of America? Then how can you quote bible in matters of state?

I'm a female boss and I'm fine with it. You don't like it don't do it yourself but what right would you have to decide that for everyone else.

Oh, and I don't care what the bible says, 1700 year old outdated mythologies don't rule my life. America being a secular country is fine the way it is and a law that prevents a woman from running for President would be unconstitutional.

(i presume you're in America) thats begin sexist, whats wrong with women who have high ranking jobs? men have run the planet for over 2000 years, so why cant women have a go? not all women are "butch" and you dont see political women in the papers, or talked about, so why moan about them if there anen't many of them? if you hate it so much move to somewhere where everything is dominated by men!

Maybe that's a good thing. Bush brings up christianity and you see were it has done to America. Maybe, a woman should be president to put some order in this place..everyone listens to women in charge, even men ; )

Are you talking about a woman for President in a specific country? People must vote for the best person to do the job.

no, i don't think there should be laws meant to enforce religious tenets. many, many religions exist in this country, and in our constitution the founding fathers made sure to establish a separation of church and state for good reason.

if a person doesn't like having a female boss, they have the choice to find another job.

if they don't like having a female president, they have the choice to vote for someone else. the majority will prevail, and if you can't stand living under majority rule, you can choose to live elsewhere.

No, but perhaps there should be a law requiring a basic minimum level of intelligence in order to be president. Things like high school level knowledge of geography. Such a test sure would have saved the country a lot of pain in recent years.
