Is eggnog supposed to taste sweet or like an egg?
I've never tried eggnog, so I would like to know what it tastes like.

Smooth and creamy with just a hint of vanilla. Depending on the brand it can be just sweet enough or sicky sweet. I like to sprinkle a little nutmeg on top, which of course gives it a slight nutmeg flavor. Again, the brand you get makes a big difference as I've found some brands can be enough to make a first time eggnog drink think all eggnog is disgusting. Prefer Hood eggnog myself.
Course you can make eggnog at home, but if you don't know what you're doing then I wouldn't recommend it.

Hmm, it rather is form of like milk with slightly of gooey caramel and honey. It is going down no longer uncomplicated and it almost takes alcoholic. it rather is rather candy and corn-syrupy. It tastes superb yet in my view, it supplies me problems if I drink it for an prolonged time. in fact, it is certainly one of those beverages that get previous rapid. It packs a great style of energy so do no longer drink it until now eating. you won't be able to truly style the eggs interior and it rather isn't any longer disgusting in any respect. attempt it, it won't harm you except you're allergic to eggs like my mom is lol.

To be honest with you I've had it once but mixed with whisky so the taste was a little obscured. If you like sweet milk try it if not your not missing much.

Tastes a little bit like custard if you've ever had that. A sweet, eggy milk, and there's usually a taste of nutmeg (or add more if there isn't enough).

i LOVE eggnog. it is so good.. some people don't like it, but i love it. lol. You should try it. See if you like it.

it is very very sweet so if you don't have much of a sweet tooth you won't like it.
but any way its very thick so you should add milk to it to thin it out a bit.
