People say I ask too many questions, but I'm curious & don't know that much about certain subjects, like politics, law, taxes, criminal justice, business administration, etc. & they say I'm retarded with no common sense & they see my curiosity as childish & they think I'm giving people an opportunity to take advantage of me with finances, cars, & business transactions. How can I be knowledgeable if I'm forbidden to ask questions? But then people say if I don't knowsomething I should ask.

I graduated from college & got my BA degree & got a 2.3 GPA because I have EXTREMELY poor reading comprehension. I don't understand what I'm reading. I also have poor concentration because of my mental disability, & I had 2 strokes @ age 5. My former foster mom kept me couped inside all day, enslaving me, making me clean up. She & other foster family members were abusive & punished me for no reason. I'm 24 & JUST beginning to learn common sense & street sense.

I still love Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. The one with the misfit toys and the elf who wanted to be a dentist.

Was he messing with Noah and his family? Or did he just take a little break and hover around, waiting for the water to subside?

Why is your religion not the oldest religion? Did your god not start telling people about himself untill a while in? Was there no word of mouth from those first people he created?

degrading. As a Christian, some of your tactics bother me. I just read a question that classified all atheists as devil worshipers. If you know God, you should bear your witness, not make a mockery of it. That is done in a gental and kind way, not hateful and critical.

For real, whats the deal. It seems that any movie or idea that comes out that portrays any independent thoughts about life, defying the laws of nature is automatically anti-Christian or anit-Muslim. The Golden Compass that came out the other day is being bombarded with stupid comments coming from Christians that are afraid that this will corrupt the minds of our youth. WHat are you afraid of???

1) “Christians” with false assurance: Christians (tares) that are 100% sure that they are going to heaven, yet are deceived. They are not known by God, and are on their way to hell.
2) Christians with no assurance – Christians (wheat) who often feel condemned in their sinfulness, fearful that they will go to hell, with absolutely no assurance.

There are Catholics and Protestants that fall in both of these categories, of course, but it is certainly evident (given the theological differences) that Protestant are more likely to fall into the first trap…and Catholics into the second.

Before Protestants answer with their infallible certitude: I would remind you of Matthew 7:21-23, which speaks about people who were “sure”, yet were not known by God and went to hell. So, how do you answer the possibility of Matthew 7:21-23 for yourself?

Before Catholics bash “assurance” altogether: I would remind you that while your church does not teach “infallible certitude”, it absolutely teaches that you may have assurance that only barely falls short of 100%:

So, how do you answer this?

Shouldn’t we warn the first to repent and to work out their salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12) and make their calling and election sure (2 Peter 1:10), and educate the second about the truths proclaimed most powerfully in 1 John (specifically 1 John 5:13) and by Paul (Philippians 1:21)?

This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with [his] finger wrote on the ground, [as though he heard them not].

John 8:6

What do you think he was writing in the ground and why did he start to write in the ground when they came at him?

Acts 2 1:1-13

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

... A crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard them speaking in his own language. Utterly amazed, they asked: "Are not all these men who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in his own native language? Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome; Cretans and Arabs - we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!"

Our workforce is of about 30 guys organised into crews on different trucks doing removal/packing work plus all the office staff etc... The party is at a local venue. With partners, I guess there'll be around 100-120 people.
Only thing is, there's a 20-something year old lad who works for the company who has told me he's bringing a knife to the party in case anyone should 'try & start anything' or 'have a go'.

Should I tell someone else about this in advance?

Instead of Israel and so avoiding displacing the Palestinians from their homeland?
The USA should have given the Jews some land and let them create "The Promised Land" inside America. Many hundred of thousands of lifes would have been spared since the creation of Israel in Palestinian territory.

give you signs and wonders; and great miracles that demonstrate His power, if you're not even grateful for the simple things, the percieved small things that He's already done for you?

If I'm not mistaken,no sane parent in the world would give their kids more reward or responsibility if they have not yet shown to be faithful in the little things. So why would God change for you?Becuase you yell, scream, stomp your foot and roll around on the floor in frustration?
