degrading. As a Christian, some of your tactics bother me. I just read a question that classified all atheists as devil worshipers. If you know God, you should bear your witness, not make a mockery of it. That is done in a gental and kind way, not hateful and critical.

Discrimination and put downs are always wrong--and NO ONE can say anyone else is going to hell. Not only is it for God to judge, but we have a duty, as Christians (I am Catholic also) to teach, and let those with reason think about what is said. If I believed anyone was going to hell, why would I even try to teach them? We shouldn't even be thinking those negative thoughts, even if we are put down and made fun of. I've said this before, I'm not trying to win any arguments--just get people to think. I've had a lot of defensive reactions to my questions and comments--but that only means people are thinking and their thoughts are taking them into uncomfortable positions. That's good. That means what we're doing is working. But, we cannot react defensively. I don't--I don't need to. I already know the truth, and I'm confident that many here will see it someday too. And, that's the best we can hope for.

Sad to see how some claim to be followers but only talk the talk and don't know how to walk the talk! Moreover, are those who use verses to answer a question and take it out of context to what Jesus was saying or teaching.
The Bible does teach that we are to be so-called fruit inspectors. With that, is the life you live as a Christian connected to the Vine of Truth? If so, then your life shall bear witness tthrough your words and your actions.
Of course, if you read on in the Pauline Epistles (letters) you will notice that believers should not be yoked with unbelievers. That is not to say that as a believer you shun or mock another for their lack of belief. Rather, you exhibit the same characteristics as Christ did by acknowledging them; their lives; their hurts and pains, and so on. Be a friend! But be a friend in love. That is a testimony in itself!

Criticism does little good if you yourself are not an example of what you think someone should or shouldnt be.
Matthew 7:1&2

THANK YOU!!!! Well, being a practicing Christian I don't agree with the way some Christians act. Religion does something to people, gives them that belief of superiority. But I try not to shove what I believe down other people's throats. I just wrong, and cruel.

Jesus said to go into all the world and preach the gospel but he did not say to make fun of those who do not know Him. Everyone needs to be saved and no one deserves to go to Hell

ok..you should direct this question to the people who ask those kind of questions
"the smartest christian" is one of em. i am NOT.
please don't put me in the same category as him or those who ask those types of questions.
that's why we are all judged poorly because of a few.
you said "Christians"....i am a christian, therefore you asked me.

You are very judgmental yourself, and opinionated too, kiddo! Atheists are not devil worshipers, only a moron would believe that. They believe that atheists will go to hell. Many Christians believe that witches are devil worshipers, but most are not.
Christians hold high moral standards and they judge those who do not uphold these standards to be sinners. That is our religion. If you don't like it, that's tough.
