Why is your religion not the oldest religion? Did your god not start telling people about himself untill a while in? Was there no word of mouth from those first people he created?

I'm pretty sure Hindu is the oldest existing religion. But not the oldest religion in general. There are many "myths" that were religions.

Religion is humankind's attempt to understand God, who in His/Her actual being, is far more and way beyond anyOne we can imagine. The earlier religions reflected the cultural understandings humanity had at that time. God has reached out to humanity in many ways over the centuries, and humankind has attempted to understand what God is saying. Why is this not perfectly consistent? Why are there many different concepts of God? I don't know. For me, Jesus is the way to God, but I am not so arrogant as to claim a monopoly on the truth.

thanks for this question. hindu is not the relegion .hindu means the peoples those are indians .(bharatvaasi) in what they believe that is hindu (maanyataa).islaam.christiens and so on. these are all those ,we people giving the name relegions are only (maanyataa) believes.THE OLDEST RELEGION IS NAMED SNAATAN THAT IS THE UNIVERSAL RELEGION NO MATTER WHAT TYPE OF CREATION IS .I MEAN LIVING OR NON LIVING every thing created through that by the creator. so if you want to learn more you should know through computer .of course HINDU beleive is very close to SNAATAN ,that,s why mostly people gave that name as hindu dharma.thanks.

The bible starts at the very beginning of time - the first line is "In the Beginning...." and goes on to talk about how God created the earth and all the things in it in six days. Animals and man were created on the 6th day, and God rested on the seventh day.
How much closer to the beginning can you go?
God communicated with people the very first day He created them. He spoke to Adam and Eve and had them name the animals. He then spent the seventh day (Sabbath) with them personally. The Bible is full of interesting stories from the beginnings of time, start reading in Genesis, the very first book in the bible, and you'll hear about all sort of wild and weird things. One thing you have to admit is, the bible does not sugar coat things and make God's people perfect and wonderful. You can read about all sorts of people -ood, bad and inbetween, and God still cared for them. People such as King David, who God called "A man after God's own heart" yet David slept with another man's wife, murdered the man to protect himself, etc. God loved him because David regreted doing wrong and asked to be forgiven. That is God's message in the bible to all of mankind. We aren't perfect and we make alot of mistakes and bad decisions. God still loves us and will forgive us if we ask Him to do so.

There is no recorded data that would present what the oldest religious practice was.

I am sure there was. Truth is truth and morality has been found since the beginning. God wrote it in our hearts. You will find that all religion has certain shared beliefs.

It really doesn't matter whether or not my religion is oldest or youngest...what matters is I am saved through faith and belief in Jesus Christ.... and you're not.....That is what's most important here!!!

Actually the Biblical God had followers back to creation. so did the Jewish God. I believe Allah also.
It was the theology that developed later.

You don't need a deity to have a religion.
