Come on now. He maybe the best son in the world but you are going to spoil him. If when he turns 16 & he wants a Mercedes will you buy it for him? I am all for rewarding wonderful children with gifts they want but don't overdo it. Give him his gift, remind him of what the meaning of Christmas is & then possibly go volunteer serving a meal to the less-fortunate.

Now that would depend on how responsible he is. If he is then sure. If not I'd go with a cheaper phone and either a 1gig iPod or a generic MP3 player.

My sister lost the charger to her phone and lost her MP3 player, this is why she doesn't have anything more expensive lol and she's 16.

eh i wouldn't. my uncle who is in his 30's can't even take care of one the right way... he's responsible, but you can't drop it or handle it like a normal phone at all. he has a case for it, but it still has tons of knicks and dents. i would just get him a cell phone or the ipod, and remind him what christmas is really about. happy holidays!

Maybe it's me, but I won't even treat myself to an iPhone, and I know I'm responsible. I think it's too expensive a gift for a 13 year old.

definite, fairly. I have been given my first cellular telephone while i became 12 years old. i think of you are able to enable them to get a telephone, yet with limited texting. A telephone is used for emergencies purely.
