Do they land up in the same Heaven or different ones? If it is the same, do they fight there also?

Just wondering. Most elementary schools put on some kind of holiday program, usually with an emphasis on Christmas and a few songs thrown in of the other major religions holidays around this same time. Does it bug you? Would you let your child participate in this?

Question Details: Theres a man who lives in my building who i used to be friendly with, talk alot, im in my 20s and hes in his 50s..One day , i had run into him and he said "hows your mom, then he imitates her italian accent and says "oh hows the cat, its such a cute cat"...and he ran down the stairs.. My mom watched his cat for some days while he was away, I found it really rude and messed up of him..

I was a little taken aback, hes in his 50s, married with kids,, then he gave me his business card and told me to email him, i told him i would, i went to his website, it was poorly done and just bad overall..kinda scared me because the photography was bad.

Isn't Christ the reason why we have Christmas in the first place?

2007-12-05 18:16:58 · 19 answers · asked by Anonymous in Christmas

Jesus forgave everyone of every kind of sin, except the leaders of organized religion. He called them hypocrites, blind guides, whited sepulchres, liars and sons of Satan. He told people not to pray in public, but to pray in private, where no one could see them.

He also said that after he was gone, many would come preaching in his name to deceive us.

There are those who would argue one has to belong to a particular group or denomination in order please God, but Jesus told the story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30) in order to show that it was not the priest, or the Levite, who pleased God, but the merciful Samaritan, whom Jews would have nothing to do with. (John 4:9)

The Good Samaritan was justified by his compassion for another human being, not by his theology. There is nothing wrong with fellowship and community, but when it comes to hierarchical organizations who claim they have the only true interpretation of God's word, wasn't Jesus warning us against them?

If you do, has he answered every single one your prayers? If not, how does he decide which ones to answer and which ones not to? And, how can you be certain that the thing you prayed for wouldn't have happened anyway without your prayer?

And did you bother looking in an authentic translation to confirm them before believing what they said? I just found out that on a very popular site, they flat out lie and twist things around. What do you think of their words compared to the words of the Quran? Do you still believe them?

"3 Website :
Qur'an:9:112 "The Believers fight in Allah's Cause, they slay and are slain, kill and are killed."

3 Correct Translation :
009.112 Those that turn (to Allah) in repentance; that serve Him, and praise Him; that wander in devotion to the cause of Allah,: that bow down and prostrate themselves in prayer; that enjoin good and forbid evil; and observe the limit set by Allah;- (These do rejoice). So proclaim the glad tidings to the Believers.
Al-Qur'an, 009.112 (At-Tawba [Repentance, Dispensation])

Someone just made the very interesting point that it is not necessarily logical to assert that religion is bad just because some bad things have happened because of religion. I noticed someone answered by adding that it isn't fair to say all religion is bad, because if we were to say that, we'd also have to say atheism is bad, because of bad behaviors that atheism has produced.

So.. let's talk about what's negative about atheism. This question is out of honest curiosity.

why i ask is i only want answers from those of you who dont believe their sexuality is from God but also believe God truelly loves them and finds comfort in worshipping in church.

why do i ask? i have a nephews who are homosexuals and both believe it was a choice although too deep-seated for them to want to change.(they are in their 20's) however though they both believe in God, one cannot bear going to church because he knows that the "lifestyle he chooses is not pleasing to God". (please understand this is my nephews opinion even though i agree with him). The other will go to church if he felt like it. What can i say to my loved ones for them to understand God loves them more so because we are sinners, even more reason to go to church and publicly confess Jesus love for us?

appreciate any help...i guess its fruitless to ask homophobics to refrain from answering....thanking you

It mentions the Holocaust, the Genocide in Rwanda, Civil Rights, etc...and considering LA has a large Armenian population, I would assume it would only be descent to mention it in one of the exhibits.

Also, I heard that there used to be a wall with Hitler's quote on the Armenian genocide, but once Turkey complained, the wall was taken down...is this true?

The quote: "...Who afterall, speaks today, of the Annialation of the Armenians".

Obviously lots do, whether they are invited by a friend or their spouse celebrates it. But what about a person that just celebrates it because they like the holiday: trees, decorations, ect.
My neighbor is an Orthodox Jew and she celebrates Christmas alone, she says she dose because Christmas really came from Pagans/Druids ect and that Jesus really has nothing to do with Christmas.

And why does it seem to be OK for Jewish people to celebrate Christmas but it isn't OK for non-Jewish people to celebrate Hanukah.

I am sort of confused. Like I never really knew what Mormans are, until my friends told me it was a religion. I thought they were mermaids at first... but whatever. lol I just want to know what's wrong with that religion? What are the pros and cons and the beliefs of the religion? I like lists, so please just give the list of pros, cons, beliefs and stuff. People are being rude about it, and I don't think it's right, but I want to know why. So yeah, anyone of any religion is totally free to give their answer. I like answers in all light. :] Thanks and the best list wins my 10points! lol
