I am LDS (yes a real life Mormon)
I personally have a strong testimony of Christ, the restored gospel and living prophets.
Here are some main objections that are true that I hear people say about the LDS church:
1. We don't believe in the trinity. We believe Christ is the Son of God. We also believe that God has a glorified body, as we are created in His image. This is all in the Bible.
2. We believe that God has called living prophets today. Other Christians claim that we no longer need prophets, since Christ came. If you ask me, we need them more than ever. Just look at all of the confusion between different interpretations of the Bible.
3. We believe that the Book of Mormon is the word of God as well as the Bible. Many people think that the Bible is the only word of God. However, the Book of Mormon is simply the record of some of the righteous people who lived in the Americas from about 600 BC to 420 AD.
4. We believe that Christ visited other people than just those in Jerusalem after His resurrection. This is in the Book of Mormon-- that Christ visited those in the Americas and taught them the same things that He taught those in Jerusalem. This is in line with Christ's words that He has other sheep which are not of the fold of Jerusalem. (John 10:16)

These are the main totally true differences. If you have more questions, feel free to email me.

Atheist
I find it humorous that you are telling the question asker to spell it correctly when you cant even talk about the religion correctly.
Mormons (members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints) believe the true church was removed from the earth, along with the priesthood authority due to apostacy and was restored later thru Joseph Smith.
pros
very pro family
strongly believe in education
very service and community oriented
strict moral code
dont drink or smoke
dont believe other religions are going to hell
incredible welfare program
emergency prepardness and disaster relief that even the US gvt has called upon to help in major disasters
huge genealogical library
cons
can be cliquish
controversial history in regards to polygamy and blacks
has some very sacred principles some consider secretive
very strict standards of living that can be hard for some to live
members do all the callings, unpaid, so it can stress some members out to try to live up to this really high expectation of being "perfect" and trying to do it all

Try JOSEPH SMITH .. people.
Joseph Smith claimed to have met God and Jesus in wood while praying. He asked them which is the 'true church' and allegedly he was told 'none of them are true, they're all rotten, don't join any church'. Not long after that, JS joined a church.
PROS
-they're into family (but so are many others)
-they're nice people (but so are many others)
-they do good things in and for the community (but so do many others)
-they have thorough study habits
CONS
-based on faulty doctrine by Joe Smith and subsequent 'prophets'
-changing prophecies/teaching
-Joseph Smith Translation of the bible is not the best
-some teaching is quite wrong
CLAIMS
-God was once a sinful man
-the nearest physical location to heaven is the planet/star Kolob
-the melchizedek priesthood is restored
-the true gospel is restored
-joseph smith is the only person, apart from Jesus, who has done more for the salvation of mankind
-polygamy is an eternal and unchanging principal of marriage, though no longer practised by 'true mormons' because God changed his initial revelation
-you can have spirit children, who are children already in existence in the 'spirit realm' and when we have babies they are just given a body that we host
WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT?
-Joseph Smith is what was initially wrong with it and it snowballed from there with alleged "prophets" and their bizarre 'revelations' from God. The changing doctrine of blacks holding the priesthood, the ugly incident of the Mountain Meadows Massacre and the whole bizarre tale of the Book of Mormon and the Garden of Eden being located in Jackson Country Missouri is enough to put someone off.
It has little credibility in my opinion.

There is nothing wrong with Mormonism if you are a Mormon. The problem is that it claims to be Christianity which it isn't.
For instance:
Orthodox Christianity claims that Jesus is God Himself that came to earth in human form to die so that the sins of humans could be forgiven by God. He was spirit who took on human form so he could provide a way of salvation for humans. Mormons claim that Jesus was a created being similar to Satan.
Orthodox Christianity claims that all human beings are only human and will never be anything but created beings that have an eternal spirit that will either reside with God for eternity or in hell for eternity. Mormons claim that humans have the potential to become gods if they live a good life, follow church teachings, tithe 10% of their income, and get the proper documentation from thier elders and the church. By the way, I believe that this only applies to men. Women can only get eternal life through their husbands.
Orthodox Christianity teaches that God is a self existant being that has always been. He is God, has always been God, and will always be God. He has all power, knowledge, and is present everywhere all the time. He is the only God there is and He exists as a spirit in eternity and for all eternity. Mormons believe that there are many gods. That they have bodies and that god had sex with Mary to produce Jesus.
The Bible says that salvation is by God and His grace alone through Jesus alone and that good works have nothing to do with salvation. (Ephesians 2:1-10). Mormons believe that their good works can influence God and are necessary for salvation. They also teach that Joseph Smith must be accepted as a Prophet of God in order to have salvation.
Orthodox Christianity teaches that God is one God with three natures. Mormonism teaches that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are three seperate gods. These three are not spirits but have physical bodies.
I think that anyone who does any research at all will be able to see that Mormonism isn't remotely Christian. It has taken the constructs of Christianity and warped them completely out of recognition. It denies who God is, who Jesus is, and who Satan is. They have elevated humans to the level of God Himself and say that they can achieve the status of a god. They have given their own works and requirements the same status and worth as the works and requirements of God. Mormonism is a religion but it is NOT a Christian religion. They deny God. They deny Christ. They place themselves as gods.
(See: http://www.carm.org/mormon.htm )
By the way, I can provide the names of the people who wrote the above opinions. Many of them come from "Mormon Doctrine" (I can give you page numbers) and some of the quotes were made by Joseph Smith himself (such as "God used to be a man on another planet."--Momon Doctrine, p. 321; and "God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man,.....We have imagined that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea and take away the veil, so that you may see"--Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 345).

Nothing is wrong with it and everything is right (In my humble opinion). lol
Here is a list of the pros.
1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.
3. We believe that through the atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul--We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
The cons: Like Christ warned his disciples, you will get persecuted for HIS names' sake.

Well I am a Christian, so I don't believe that John Smith (I believe was his name) ever fought a giant worm or snake to get the true word of God. The Mormons believe that the true Garden Of Eden is in Missouri. Do you? I don't and I live here. Don't get me wrong, my state is beautiful, but God has a better place for me later, believe me.

Mormons (Spell it right, please) are insane.
They can't drink coffee, soda, tea, anything with caffiene in it.
They believe in multiple wives.
They are a cult. An insane cult.
They believe that their founder, Jonathan Smith read the mormon bible out of a hat with two stones because an angel told him to. He claims the angel told him to dig up "Seer Stones" and read the gold tablet with scratchings on it, write down what it says and huzzah, the bible!
The original transcripts of his decoding were hidden, and since he couldn't reproduce an exact copy of the "bible" he had transcribed, he claimed that there were new marks to be coded, thus making a "new" bible.
Freaking bonkers.
Maybe I should sneeze in a toilet and claim they speak to me. I could create my own religion!
I do say that Christian Scientists are, by far, the worst.
